I found a clip of Dwight Howard explaining why he didn't like the pick-and-roll in L.A.:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMGYZUyQntc
Defenses were either staying on Howard's body or trapping Nash, and the Lakers didn't have the shooters to punish defenses.
Remember when Kobe elbowed Jameer in the chin so hard Jameer was knocked down and sent skidding across the floor?
Pepperidge Farm remembers.*

i try i really do , but i cant. its too much. they have to hurry up and decide what to do with dwight.

but wait, i think i figured it out. they think dwight is still 25 years old. no? i dunno either, i have to wait SOOOOOOOOOOOOO LONG to hear what they're gonna do with this team. lawdy lawd i dunno no mo.

why couldnt they jsut wait. just wait, look at other coaches. its not like he did an outstanding job. just wait, patience, and bla bla. why not? here, let me coach them, for free. i'll use my 2k playbook, its a lot better than mchales playbook. i'll even implement a min triangle offense.

then he'll be warming the bench for his replacement, troy daniels. then after the game in the post conference i'll tell the media morey, les, and myself will have a "meeting" in "florida" about "haren". but what we're really gonan do is laugh at all the fockets fans on realgm and clutchfans about how we're wasting dwight's last years as a top player. HAHAHA, IM GETTING PAID MILLIONS FOR THIS ****.

yeah i need to stop this tho. im done for now. for u religious nuts out there, plz pray

The numbers are clear, Mchale shouldn't return as the rockets head coach

Well, this early exit is on McHale. The next one would be squarely on Morey's shoulders. It's his choice to pick up the team option.

early exit is on the team, minus dwight and daniels. rockets depended too much on talent to win games. no system. okc does the same but they have a system, they play hard defense.

Anybody missing a scapegoat? Rockets bringing back head coach Kevin McHale, have fired assistant Dean Cooper, citing problems with defense.

Two guys most unpolluted by McHale, Dwight because he's older and Daniels because he hasn't been on the team long enough. Coincidence?
