If the Nets want to unload Deron and the Rockets strike out on Melo how about Deron for Lin and Asik? Nets could even flip Asik to a third team. Nets do this in part to start a total rebuild. PP and KG are pretty much done with them, Blatche and Livingston will seek better deals elsewhere as will AK47. Lin and Asik and each one year left at 15 mil.

Sam: Houston is looking to unload Asik and Lin to make a run at Anthony. I don’t think you can move Lin and the $15 million backloaded he’s due next season. But you may be able to move Asik, whom I’ve already heard several teams, like Atlanta to move Al Horford to four, are pursuing. The Hawks could look pretty good with that front court. Houston likes “stars,” though Williams hardly qualifies anymore. I see the Nets have trotted out the bad ankle excuse for him again, and he’d have broken some 20-yard dash figures the way he ran away from shots in that clinching game against the Heat. With Williams 30 this summer, in steep decline, a bad locker room presence and owed $63 million for the next three years, I don’t see how that would help the Rockets as much as it would the Nets.

Woj:

Sources: Sam Mitchell emerges as Minnesota candidate with Kevin Love's future undecided

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sources--s ... 9-nba.html

The Wolves are under pressure to start considering trade scenarios for Love, who's anxious to exercise his Early Termination Option (ETO) in the summer of 2015 and leave as a free agent, league sources said.

"For the first time, [Saunders] sounds like looking at deals for [Love] is an option," one rival executive told Yahoo Sports.

No team is likely to trade for Love without an assurance that he'll commit to a five-year, $100 million maximum contract extension. Despite a belief that Love prefers Los Angeles or New York as a potential destination, he's open to deals in other markets where he can be part of an immediate contender, sources said.

Sounds interesting. One problem is that they don't need a center so probably have no interest in Asik. Dwight and Love would be a dream big men rotation. That means we need to find another trade for Asik? Even less pt for him if this happens. I can't imagine they'd want Lin either as they already have Rubio. So it would definitely have to involve another team. Maybe something like:

Asik + filler + cash to Atl
Millsap to Min
Harden to Min
Love and KMart to Hou

And maybe add:

DMC to Hou
Shved to Atl

Yeah, things got real with Kevin Love's situation.

Morey has to get a third team involved to have a chance.

With Love and all the other stars, for top free agents this is looking like a very exciting off-season. I don't think Morey has ever been in a more attractive situation for free agents going into a summer.

Well Asik and Lin would be expiring, which I would imagine is what the TWolves would want along with some picks. But our picks are going to be low, and I think would mostly be contingent if the TWolves want Parsons or Morey can flip Parsons into some assets the TWolves want.

Perhaps trading Asik and Parsons to obtain what assets you can, then package Lin + filler + assets to TWolves. Feels like there's going to be a lot of maneuvering Morey would have to do to make this work.

I can't imagine the Wolves would want to pay the poison pills for expirings in a tanking season. They already have Rubio, so can't see them wanting Lin. They have two capable centers so I can't see them wanting Asik either. It would be very complicated for deals involving these two. Perhaps TJ and Parsons plus? Contract match would be tough for that one.

Love is no longer No.1; it's LeBron.

I like it.

just get multiple good 2 way role players.....no need for a 3rd star....get some good ones for the bench.

i do see one team likely taking Lin...this assumes they don't re-sign Lowry.
