Heat: Bosh, Wade, McRoberts, Granger,Deng....good lineup, but that aint getting past the Pacers and Bulls...and possibly the Cavs even.

Morey said in an radio interview that Bosh and his team at CAA were very professional. So it wasn't a case of them promising to come and then reneging on their word. It was just that the indications looked extremely good, and Morey needed to hustle on the Lin/Asik trades because of the Parsons timeline.

Did CB4's camp tell you guys that he would come to Houston if LBJ went to Cleveland.

DM: It was very close. CB's camp CAA was very professional. We had the offer out there, he seemed extremely likely to take that. While that looked likely, we had to deal Lin to make that happen. lakers had a time line and had to make that move happen.

Zach Lowe's "multiple sources" FWIW confirm what Morey said in his interivew regarding Bosh's negotiating team.

Grantland wrote:The Rockets would have happily matched on Parsons had they signed Bosh, and Houston in those crazy moments after LeBron’s announcement believed they had him. But Bosh never made a hard commitment, according to multiple sources familiar with the process. There was no guarantee of signing him when Houston made what is now a catastrophic trade with the Lakers, forking over Jeremy Lin and a first-round pick to clear space for Bosh.

yeah, no one ever said it was unprofessional. not sure why the media brought it up. the reason morey couldn't get bosh was pretty simple....the heat were able to give him that 5th yr at MAX...otherwise, the rockets will be likely going to the finals this yr with bosh and parsons.
