Funny this thread popped up. I heard the comparison of the Rockets off-season being like the Red Wedding today...

Wade = Joffrey

Pekovic = Gregor Clegane

Lance Stephenson = Cersei Lannister (hot, but mental)

Bosh = Bron (loyal to the money)

Derrick Rose = Doran Martell

Derrick rose = bran stark obviously

And this isn't a hater thing but I have another correction

Chandler parsons = bron...one of my favorite characters that accepts money to leave the first guy he was loyal to for a rival.....but I can't blame him for it because dude was badass and deserved to be paid and still think he is super awesome and he leaves Tyrion (the rockets) on a great note and I am going to keep rooting for bron

I'd have said Catlyn...she made at least five grievous errors before finding the same fate. Robb at least was kicking arse all over the place. Catlyn just got everyone killed.

All the game of thrones, mad men, breaking bad, sopranos, etc talk makes me almost want to watch TV sometimes.
Morey 2020.

Grime but hilarious.

Robb Stark = Parsons
Catelyn Stark = HOU fan crying for their loss

Walder Frey = Cuban / Morey fusion

You have a favorite player? NOT FOR LONG!!!

I'm a fan of the Rockets and of the Song of Ice & Fire series...and I realize now that they are pretty much the same thing. Every time that I think that I know what will happen, things go all askew, and we are forced to deal with new realities. Along the way we lose characters/players that we have grown to love.

Hopefully D.R.R. Morey can finish his story, unlike his counterpart.

Maybe if a Dragon can return to Westeros then one can return to Houston.

...this thread is for all of you who know what I'm talking about. :lol:

I LOVE D. MOREY. SMART, RELENTLESS, HARD WORKING, DARING.I CAN TELL YOU ONE THING D. MOREY IS NEVER SITTING BACK WAITING TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS,HE MAKES IT HAPPENS AND ALWAYS IMPROVES THE ROSTER. AND IF WE (THE ROCKETS) DO SUFFER FROM OUR RECENT ROSTER MOVES IT WON'T PROBABLY BE FOR LONG.( PS. HE MAY NOT BE DONE BUILDING THIS ROSTER YET, BUT IN THE MEANTIME IF IT MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER TO CRITICIZE OR MAKE LIGHT OF WHAT HE HAS CONSTANTLY SUCCEDED IN ACHIEVING HERE IN HOUSTON WHICH IS TO PUT TOGETHER A WINNING TEAM THE HARD WAYS YEAR AFTER YEAR THEN GO AHEAD AND CATCH YOU LATER ON THE BAND WAGON....LOL :-)

To be fair, Morey had a pretty good roll going with his moves up until he decided to let Parsons hit FA a year early. And if Bosh hadn't backed out for a boatload of cash, then that would have worked out for him too.

Morey and Cuban are a lot alike in that they always think they are the smartest guy in the room, and will be happy to tell you why for an hour or five. Which is why other teams fan bases are happy to kick them in the *** when one of their ideas blows up on them.

Or is Parsons Tyrion and Morey Tywin?

Morey "Put the contract/crossbow down and we can talk about this son."

Parsons "I WAS NEVER YOUR SON!"

Thunk!

Doesn't work really because we chose not to match? If he was a UFA, then ya

Anyways I think the bron thing fits...good luck to him and to the mavs

Well, Morey seemed to take Parsons for granted much like Tywin did with Tyrion, but I can see the Bron comparison as well.

Good luck to the Rox as well. I think Ariza will turn out to be a good fit for you guys, and hopefully we will meet up in the WCF.
