Dragic had an amazing last year. His #'s are way off the charts. He will easily get a max contract 5 years with player option 5th. Guy has really turned into something special. I've revised my ratings of him since last season.

backup C(Okafor possibly) can be found easier...right now more like PG and PF....Canaan isn't gonna do it. He isn't quite ready. I'm not sure Beverly's health is gonna hold up. TJones can roll for now. He will have problems agains the top PFs in the league, but i think that position can wait till trade deadline.
I'd be alright with moving the Pelicans pick, TPE, Cannan, and JONES for Dragic, but that just me. But only because I'm still not convinced we can realisticaly land a big FA next year and im still on the Ersan Iloyasova train. We could probably land Ersan for salary filler. Even with our loses, I believe we upgrade with Ersan and Dragic.

Why would phoenix do this? It doesn't make much sense for HOU either. Dragic has a player option after next year and can become a unrestricted free agent.

But as of right now Dragic is a really good contract for Suns, no reason they're going to help conference rivals Rockets. Morey could have bid for Bledsoe and matched Parsons this off season. On paper the team would have been much better.

Either way if HOU upgrade at the PG position, they would need to trade Beverley while his value is record high. He's can't create offensively as the 6th man and he's too good to be 20 min a game type back up.

I'm not sure what the Suns would want or what they're trying to do exactly. One would think that having Dragic, Bledsoe, Ennis, and Thomas would be an overlap of PG talent.

I wouldn't be surprised if Phoenix S&T Bledsoe for something, or just decided to run 3 PG's at the same time. When looking at their PG's, if they were going to move one of them, some would think Dragic would (arguably) be the most likely man out. Dragic is the oldest. 3-4 years older than Thonas and Bledsoe. Even though Dragic isn't an old player himself, he's a 28 year old "win-now" type player who will command a max contract next year. While the Suns aren't quite there (contender nor pretender)yet. They might not make the playoffs next year.

If the Suns decide to keep all 4 of them, they'll have the majority of they're cap (35.7-40m)locked in at the PG position after next year. They may be open to moving him for younger and cheaper assets and/or player(s) that could grow with the current roster until they're ready to make a real run at the chip. But like I said, I have no idea what the Suns plan is.

Morey 2020.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor

As much as i want to have Dragic here starting again, giving up Terrence Jones would be too much. He is about to explode and would hate to see him do it against us 3-4 times a season.

Return to Houston Rockets
