I have been so far out of the loop the last few weeks. I am assuming that Canaan is the clear backup PG now?

He should, Canaan played well in both summer league and preseason. It's only fair to give the kid a chance. Not sure what McHale has in mind though.

Clearly there is tremendous trust in Canaan at this point. Remember Captain had a fairly serious injury and there is nobody behind Canaan. That's a big vote of confidence.

you forgot Jason Terry
right now Beverley is the starting PG
Terry and Harden will play the backup PG/SG role
Canaan is the 2.5 string PG
if needed there is Johnson as well

I figured that Johnson would start out with the Vipers.

How does Terry look? It's going to be so, so, soooooo weird seeing him in a Rockets uniform.

Waiving Adrien/Ish is a financial decision not a basketball one. Morey ****ed up when he gave Dorsey a 2 year guarenteed deal.

Ish was also the favorite for backup PG all throughout preseason until the last game. You gotta feel bad for him.

nope
claim off the waiver right before the last preseason game and now waived
i don't know what is morey thinking
before today
for everyone he waived he would signed another one to replace
i still think we are one backup center and pg away from top 4 in the west
i hear Aaron Gray got waived
think he is better than Dorsey?
if you think Asik can't catch a pass
Dorsey is not allow to touch the ball on offensive end

i only worry about dorsey's health...he is a good defender....canaan should do wonders for the team....i would trade dmo or jones if we could get a really good pt guard...otherwise, just keep the roster as is till trade deadline.

This bench is going to be awful. Might be worse than minny' last year. Ugh

Man I was rooting for Adrien to make the team. The guy is a worker that doesn't take ish from anyone.

Reviewing the bench, they've been better than I expected.

Notable contibutors:

Terry
Canaan
DMO
Big Papa
Black

I think these guys have done a nice job. The rest is still looking for opportunity.

Heat should definitely take a look at signing Earl Clark. Dude can play the 3 front court positions.
