Houston Rockets ✔ @HoustonRockets
McHale said Jones (ribs) is at the hospital & will be observed over night.

"I think Terrence will be done for a little bit. He's sore."

Fortunately it doesn’t appear to be anything worse than that, but Jones likely misses a few games for this. He will be missed as he has had some strong games recently, such as 16 points against the Clippers and 17 against the Trail Blazers.

For 50 point games, the previous low in FGA required to get there was 19 by Willie Burton.
Out of 185 games since 1985, The average number of shots it takes is 31.5.

broken one rib, punctured lung
he's going to be out for awhile

reading online
worst case can be 2-3 months
we will know more tomorrow

is it something wrong with howard and tjones?
we can't seem to have both on the court at the same time this season

Where did you hear this? I searched online I couldn't find anything other than "he's going to be out for a bit".

Speaking from personal experience, I hurt during a basketball game and it definitely hurt. That being said, I stayed in the game and didn't notice any bruising until the next day. Was pretty painful for a few weeks, but x-rays said no fracture. Seems like Jones was in a lot more pain than that so I wouldn't be surprised if he fractured it or even worse.

This. I noticed this too. I thought wow he looks like he's mid-late 30's...then I check Google and turns out he's almost 50 lol. Can say the same for Olajuwon. He looks like he could put up 10/5 in 24 MPG and he's 52!

They should really count getting fouled while shooting as a shot attempt though or create a new stat that reflects it but doesn't impact their FG shooting percentage. I mean free throws or dunks or three pointers, does it really matter how you get to 50?
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

I totally agree that continuations/2/3/penaltyfts should be on the box score.

Oh well.
