Jazz Fan banned for a year for laser pointer

From the Houston Chronicle:

A fan that shined a light at James Harden at the free throw line was ejected from Vivint Smart Home Arena and banned from NBA arenas for one year, Jazz officials said on Monday. It was unclear what sort of light was used, but it appeared to be a laser pointer.

Harden was at the free throw line when he pointed out the fan. Security escorted the fan from the building.

“Some guy was lasering me,” Harden said. “I saw it the first time and I thought it was a picture being taken. I went to the foul line again and it happened again. The referee (Tom Washington) caught it before I did. That’s the first time that happened to me.”

That was a pretty lengthy delay last night. It's good to see that they got the guy, but it took way too long for the arena's ushers to get up there.

should be a lifetime ban.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming
