Bogut is way way way better than Howard. Maybe if Howard would box out and contest shots instead of reach he'd be better. But nah.

Ariza just isn't good at defense anymore. He's just not. It's sad but true.

Nate Duncan is right. Howard should be on Livingston so he doesn't get stuck on Curry on the Curry- Draymond PnR. Would be shocked if JBB figured that out though

Dwight walking around after Barnes so Barnes gets a wide open jumper. Get. Him. Out.
Also why is he calling for the post up like he can take Draymond down low? Better men than he have tried.

The Warriors want Dwight to post up and we are playing right into their hands.

That was like 3-4 uncontested layups by Barnes with Marcus Thornton just staring. Howard yelled at him in the 3rd for giving up an alley oop. Ariza yelled at him midway in the 4th for letting Barnes slip behind him for an open layup. I don't see why this guy is allowed to close games...

Are you talking about this https://twitter.com/bballbreakdown/status/697303668836724736 ? That's on Ariza. And I'm usually super anti Thornton but he was much better than Brewer tonight. Ty was the problem. -22 in 15 minutes.

I'm fine with this loss. Stuck with what is possibly the best team of all time. Harden was amazing on both ends. Curry is just ridiculous. Along with the rest of the Warriors.

Meanwhile Greg Monroe tonight had 29 pts in 30 minutes off the bench to go with 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and a steal

Dwight and James just aren't compatible together.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

GS broke down the defense, so it's on several people, but Thornton could've saved it.

PnR by Curry and Green. Dwight switches to Curry and Beverly went on Green. (Bad idea, Green backed down Beverly several times when they switched) Harden had Thompson in the back court, but decides to double team Curry with Dwight. Thompson is open for a 3. Ariza moves to cover Thompson, leaving Barnes & Iggy in the corner. You can see Ariza make a motion to Thornton that he had the weakside to himself. At this point, Thornton should cover the cut and let Ariza rush back to cover a kick out 3 to Iggy. However, Thornton ignores it or doesn't see it, but nevertheless let's Barnes cut to the basket uncontested. If this was an isolated incident, I'd cut him some slack. However, he has a history of slacking off on defense and had allowed several open layups already.

This is why Ariza yelled at Thornton after the play. Ariza also could've not moved up to cover Thompson and hope Harden would rush back on defense to cover a 3 shot. However, no decision was as egregious as allowing an uncontested layup.

Lawson still has confidence issues. He still hesitates a lot before making a shot. I think the "no mid-range jumpers" rule is causing him to second guess. Pretty much worthless to have a PG who can't make up his mind. We can't just throw Lawson willy nilly in "match up" games. He needs some set plays drawn out.
