Sounding like he should be back in practice soon...

I'm looking forward to seeing him the green light for full contact.

"Everything is on schedule so far," Dekker said of the mid-February target to start full workouts. "I can't wait."

Should have drafted Bobby portis or rondae Hollis Jefferson. It's been almost a year since that ncaa tournament.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

... Are you serious? Dekker has awesome role player potential. He will be an awesome glue guy in a few years. Swaggy is an extremely negative asset

I don't think that the Rockets would make that trade. Dekker is still an unknown quantity, but the GM seems to still be high on him. He just doesn't seem to be in a rush to get him back on the roster. Swaggy P is a known quantity, and it's not good in his favor.

He's back!

http://www.chron.com/sports/rockets/article/Rookie-Sam-Dekker-takes-full-practice-for-first-6838264.php

Rockets rookie Sam Dekker on Wednesday went through his first full practice with the team since his Nov. 20 back surgery, saying after he felt better than he expected given how long he had been out.

"It felt good," Dekker said. "I thought it was going to mentally a lot tougher, the quickness of the game. But I actually felt good. I felt in rhythm. There's obviously rust to knock off, but I was excited by how I felt."

Dekker is expected to practice with the Rockets until he is considered ready for a heavier workload in games with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the NBA Development League.

"We're going to do it by increments, just get me in shape and get my feet wet," Dekker said. "It's not like they'll throw me in there and I'll play 35 minutes. It's a slow process. But if all goes well down there, hopefully I can get back up and help our team out."

Looks like he will be playing for the Vipers tonight. Hopefully I'll get to watch some before the rockets game

It'll be good to finally see him on the court.

Obviously shaking rust but looks good. Moving well and same smart defender and passer. Just no clean jumper yet.

All things considered he played pretty solid I'd say. Fresh of back surgery with very little practice and posted a positive +/-. Not sure how confident I am in his jumper though

Agreed. The jumper should come back quickly with regular practice. I'm actually quite happy to see him moving so well again after being in pain for a year now.
