Re: @ Hawks Saturday
Why is Dwight on the floor right now? We looked so good with the Beas/Dmo front court. Especially against this team. Dwight isn't providing much except rebounds against the one of the worst rebounding teams out there.

That was an awesome play switching into Teague by Dwight.

Then he loses Horford for an easy layup with .7 on the clock. Get him out of here.

Dwight with the "leave Horford wide open in the corner because I still don't believe he can shoot" strategy. And splash. God damn it.

Trevor has sucked for awhile. Dwights rebounding numbers get a little bit inflated by being the only true big playing for the rockets. He plays with Beasley a lot.

This was a winnable game, but it looks like they've lost composure.

Re: @ Hawks Saturday
Dwight ruined our defense tonight just like he did last time we played the Hawks. You can't play him in games with a lot of ball movement and bugs who can shoot. Or athletic bugs that feats on the PnR like Deandre. He's a liability against those teams but he plays a crap ton of minutes while athletic guys who can move and are made to defend those teams sit on the bench. Like Capela. I can't wait for Dwight to waste some other teams money next year.

Dwight with 8 points on 7 shots, 4 turnovers, and a team low -14 in 35 minutes.
And guess who had the best plus minus. CLINT CAPELA in only EIGHT MINUTES

I'm sure it gets frustrating watching every other starter get more shots than you, and watching them miss repeatedly to boot.

They should give the guy who's shooting 2/7 from the field and can't hit a free throw the ball more? Oooook. Dwight is too limited to get more shots unless he runs the pick and roll. Even when they aren't his turnovers the rockets turn the ball over like crazy trying to post him up. They should never post him up. He's bad at it. Not their fault he doesn't realize that. He talks about not having personal agendas and sacrificing to win then pouts when he doesn't get ugly ass hooks that he makes 40% of.

I'm not even blaming Dwight directly. It's JBBs fault for not seeing him and playing him less and Clint more.

Yeah, the guy who's shooting 60% on the season is so much worse an option. He's 2-7. Beverly and Ariza are 2-9 and 2-10.
Capela isn't the answer despite what you say. The fact that opposing defense can dig in late in the game and the Rockets offense has no structure for creating shots is the problem, not Dwight.

Re: @ Hawks Saturday
Dwight is a glorified Valanciunas at this point just swap Val's post game for pick and roll game.
But he doesn't run what he's good at and only wants to post up.

He shoots nothing but shots at the rim. Of course his FG % is good. But like I said they turn the ball over a ton trying to get him the ball. He gets fouled when he has an advantage then goes to shoot free throws where he's been shooting about 40% since the all star break. His post ups are not efficient and break down the offense and he doesn't like to run pick and rolls. And those guys got good looks that weren't going in, Dwight was throwing up garbage half the game that had no chance like his air ball from 5 feet away. He also had more shooting possessions than them if you include free throws, as one should. Capela is a much better option. Knows his role, can actually defend the rim and move in space which Dwight can no longer do, Gets out on shooters instead of letting everyone shoot, he likes to run Pick and roll and doesn't big down the offense/ clog the paint trying to post up.

Are you actually using "he shoots nothing but shots at the rim" as a criticism. Yeah, that's worse than Beverly and Ariza heaving and missing threes.
If Dwight is going to be consistently ignored on offense then the Rockets better find someone who can score besides Harden, and fast. Because this **** where Harden is the only guy who routinely gets to have big nights isn't conducive to winning. And Kevin Durant isn't coming.

Re: @ Hawks Saturday
It's not taking away from Dwight it's taking away from his fg%. It's not that impressive. Should the clippers give Deandre the ball More in the post because his fg% is high? Lol no. They aren't ignoring him it's just hard to get him shots when he feels he's to good to just run pick and rolls. He's very limited. He can't put the ball on the floor, he has one go to move in the post that doesn't work too often. He wants more shots he needs to set more picks.
Also Bev and Ariza are 40% three point shooters which is MUCH more efficient than giving Dwight the ball. 3>2. If they each get 10 shots Bev and Ariza making 4/10 3s is just as efficient as Dwight shooting 6/10, which won't happen on post ups, because he's not good at those, it would happen from pick and rolls and offensive board. Once you factor in some of Dwights shooting possessions would be free throws instead of a shot because teams hack him he becomes less efficient than those two guys. Simple math bud. Howard is not a good offensive option and he looks like Kanter when defending a pick and roll

Re: @ Hawks Saturday
Dwight is a disgrace right now. He refuses to guard the more mobile bigs like Horford who was feasting with open 3's and jumpers because Dwight is to lazy to challenge and step foot outside of the paint.Dont get me started with his amateur hour post up moves
.
As for this I am not that disappointed because for the most part after quarter time we played well.. On a second leg of a back to back against a team that has won 11 of t's last 12 games with a huge wining margin in that stretch along with giving up a 14 point quarter time lead we pretty much went toe to toe with them and they were firing on all cylinders.
Despite this horror season we have found another piece to go with James for the future in Beastley. After the all star we've gradually improved but in all reality we are not a contender and will probably get bounced by the Spurs in the 1st round.

Re: @ Hawks Saturday
I think we should have D-Mo as our starting center for next season. He played as a 5 much of last year and did fine. Dwight is declining and refuses to play defense outside 15 feet, and is extremely limited on offense so I don't really see what value he'll bring especially when he'll command a 20+ mill per season contract.
As for the remainder of this year, I like the D-Mo/Beasley PF combo, that is exponentially better than the 17 headed monster we've been running at the 4 all year of Capela/Smith/Jones/Harrell/Brewer/Ariza etc.....we actually have 2 healthy legit power forwards that are producing very well.
We were on the second night of a back to back, couldn't hit a 3 to save our life, yet still were ahead of a decent portion of the game. The outlook is good for the rest of the year.
