I hope they don't trade Onuaku. I didn't think he played all *that* bad in the 4 SL games I watched. He rebounds better than Harrell did. He signed a 3 year deal that's fully guaranteed so he still has 2 years left on his deal that's very affordable. They'd only get a second rounder for him and probably worse than the #37 he was drafted at. So his 1 season learning the system in RGV while averaging a double double would have been a waste. He shot 100% of his NBA free throws (ok, it was 4 of 4) and 73% of his G-League free throws and he's only 20 while Black is 25. If they can get a first rounder for him then OK but it seems unnecessary to get rid of him for nothing.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

It's basically either him or Taylor and with how much the market is flooded with centers, I don't think keeping Nanu is a big deal

Keep Taylor and Onuaku. Cut Oliver.

Maybe. Doubt they do that because his partial guarantee and inability to then add him to RGV if they waive him. They can trade Onuaku's guarantee, but not Oliver's until December

I want to keep all 3 :(

I wish Bobby brown wasn't apparently the most loveable person and best teammate in all houston for whatever reason...guy has no reason of being on this team other than chemistry and we will lose one of those 3 (semi) promising youngins because of him

But if he helps chemistry that much we have to keep him I guess

Why didn't they try to sign Oliver to one of these new two way contracts. That way he wouldn't count towards the 15 man roster and still play with the vipers

If he were willing to take a two way deal he would have likely been taken in the second round. They get D league salaries ($75,000) in those deals, so guys don't want to take them. They only make NBA wage for the games they play with the Rockets, which is capped at 15.

So the most he could've made on a two way is $280k. Even if he gets cut the Rockets guaranteed him $300k, so he made more. If the Rockets didn't give him a minimum someone else would've

Rockets used their first two-way roster spot today on the 45th pick in the 2016 draft, Demetrius Jackson out of Notre Dame.

Read on Twitter

He was on the Celtics last year but played primarily in the d league, they had to waive him to make room for Gordon Hayward this summer. Solid pick-up.
He will likely be the starting point guard in RGV

Great guy but I don't think he can bring much basketball wise. Was a disappointment in this year's summer league and could never carve out a role. Wish him the best and hope CP3 can learn him some stuff.

True, but as far as two way deals go, he probably has more upside than most. He went 45th (which was a lot later than many thought) just a year ago, the rest of the two way guys will be undrafted/late second rounders who got picked just because they were willing to take a two way
