The Rockets on Friday reduced their roster to before Monday's deadline to set the regular-season rosters, releasing guards Isaiah Taylor and George de Paula, and forwards Tim Quarterman and Chris Johnson.
They later signed free agent forward Danuel House Jr., a former Fort Bend Hightower player, a move that will give them their G League rights if they cut him because he had not been with another team in training camp.
Guard Demetrius Jackson is on a two-way contract to play with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers and does not count against the team's limit of 15 players.
The moves on Friday assured roster spots for developmental players Troy Williams, Cameron Oliver and Chinanu Onuaku, though each was expected to be on the final roster.
This is what the roster looks like:
PG: Paul/Brown
SG: Harden/Gordon
SF: Ariza/Tucker/Williams
PF: Anderson/Behemoth/Black/Joe Chee/Oliver
C: Capela/Nene/Onuaku
Off to Minors: Jackson/House Jr.
Should consider adding another guard and send one of the PFs to relieve Paul, Harden and Gordon from heavy minutes.
