The key is keeping the opponent under 100pts. They did that!

I really want to see more playing time for him....not garbage time, but some more real time if Ryan isn't having a good shooting night.

Nah. He is nowhere near ready for real minutes.
Honestly, I believe would be better served getting some run down in the G-League.
The Vipers tend to do wonders for Rockets young bigs and he clearly needs the work.

Like they would've won by 40 if the garbage time lineup wasn't, well, garbage

Would Dallas trade JJ Barea + Wes Matthews for Ryan Anderson + Chinanu Onuaku?

LMaM would start at PF with Black, Tucker and Ariza also getting time there and maybe eventually Zhou.

Barea is good insurance for Paul's injury. Dallas doesn't really need him with Smith, Ferrell, Harris and Seth Curry.

Dallas had shown previous interest in Anderson when he was a free agent. Matthews' contract is a year less than Ryan's.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

I wouldn’t make that trade. Not at this time.

Sorry, Barea isn't allowed on the Rockets.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

Chris Paul was far worse than Barea as a rocket killer/nemesis

Maybe so, but never hated in the same way.
I'm still shocked that propeller plane worked out, tbh.

Well I disliked Paul much more than Barea. Maybe if Barea was a member of that 2005 Mavs team but he wasn't even in the league yet. Both are dirty players but I don't think Barea complains nearly as much to the refs.

The point is, he would be a good, cheap backup/emergency starting point guard who can catch and shoot. And LMaM is playing as well as Ryan is on offense and better on defense at 1/10th of the cost.
