Really D'Antoni finds himself another job. Won't last any longer then Brown

How does anyone get hired over Phil Jackson?

SERIOUSLY... Mike D'Antoni is like the inverse of Mike Brown. He couldn't do defense to save his life.

Did Jim Buss kidnap everyone elses' kids? What is going on here?

12 millions for 3 years
wow i didn't know nba coach salary get cut that much
phil jackson is probably asking for 12 million a year
from espn report phil jackson hasn't discuss salary with lakers so not sure what the problem is
from lakers fans i hear they complain phil jackson only coach home game in the past
they don't want part time coach and want a full time coach
and d'antoni is going to hire nate mcmillan as his assistant (defensive specialist)
i seriously think lakers is better off with phil jackson
this is 38 years old steve nash not 28 and kobe is 34
they need dwight howard to be the #1 option

Dwight can't be the number one option as he is rumored to be not 100%. The Lakers have a shorter bench than we do. This will be really interesting for the next few weeks.

yea
if i'm the coach
i'm considering bring gasol and world peace off the bench
and start hill and ebanks instead
not enough ball to share among those 5

im not gonna underestimate the lakers with dantoni and nash. they're both older but got kobe, pau and dwight. if they make a trade to get a good starting 3pt shooter, they can kill teams all game with a basic horns set. and there's the nash/howard pnr, then iso kobe. only 3 plays they need

I just don't think this team can work the Pringles system. Plus the age so it is hard to believe that they can run up and down the court. Also I don't think D'Antoni can reach this team in the long run and they have to learn the his system in on the fly. Brown was a bad hire and D'Antoni is a worse Hire

oh yeah i forgot, rick adelman is their head coach. he can make any team look good 8-)

we gave him up for chris finch. this guy must be the real deal if ur gonna give up one of the best coaches in the history of the nba

I didn't like losing Adelman either. He just lacked talent, which is why Morey blew up the roster and added players with star potential talent.

People looked at the coach, but not what he had to work with. I loved those guys we had, but they would never get us, or Adleman, off the mediocrity treadmill. Minnie has been out passing, rebounding and winning with defense, all those are very coach-able things. (not hating on McHale, I want to wait until mid to late in the season to judge him with this new, very young roster.)

With a healthy Rubio and Love, that's a playoff team with a great outlook for the future.
