The thing that seperates the Rockets from the elite and the playoffs team in this league is that the Rockets don't have homecourt advantage.
Even in the best season with Mcgrady he and the Rockets sucked at home.
The crowd provides 0 energy and the arena is half empty most of the time.
I remeber even in game 7 of last year playoffs.
I think it was easly the quietst game 7 ever.
Our crowd stinks , thats one of the reason we never make comback wins and a lot of teams comeback on us at home.
We have the worst crowd in the NBA , the owner should take care of that because it's embarassing.
We are not THAT bad to have a crowd like this.

Good game fellas. With Yao out there, who knows what the result would have been..
There is gonna be 2 teams in the lotto that should be in the playoffs this year in the west. Lets hope neither of our teams is among them.

"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Although Novak's defense and rebounding sucks, at least he knows what he's in the game for - to shoot. Head just seems too passive out there a lot of the time and he just needs to know when he's on the floor he's out there to spread the floor so be aggressive offensively.
edit: on a side note WTH is up with Bonzi lately? Is he still nursing that shoulder injury because either it's that or he just isn't putting the effort because he is playing pretty passively. We needed his post game bad this game and would've been a nice to match him up with Novak out there.

We should have won that without Yao, belive me. We didn't want that, we were slippin'. McGrady was awful, than was great.

Kyle Korver
I thought it was a mistake to play Novak in the 4th quarter. Clearly, he was eaten alive by Kyle Korver.
The game was so damn tight in the 4th quarter in which never team had an advantage. But the Jazz began to pull away because of Korver kept hitting triples. Novak just plainly sucks defensively. You have to contest shots.
Tmac
Tmac looks like he is at 38 years of age. He looked tired, and uninterested in the game. It day and night compared to the last time he played the Jazz.
Skip
Skip's shooting is back to his old self.

He looed like that in the 1st half, agree. But in the 2nd, you cannot say he was bad...

crowd really doesnt matter, the hornets have a bad crowd but look where they are right now, but at the same time, our crowd sucks balls....at least we have the red rowdies, lol

Actually the crowd does matter because NO is playing better on the road as well , they just better than us so they win more home games.

Hell no. We really had a chance but you know why we didn't win? It wasn'y about game it was about things that are in our heads. It's about concentraction even with ft's. under 50% in the nba - you gotta be kiddin'.

Jazz beat Houston twice, consecutively in Houston including a game 7 win, and a convincing, grind it out win 8 months later.
Rockets fans still refuse to admit the Jazz are the better team.
Get over yourselves. Till Tmac mans up and does something other than hoist jumpers, and until Scola stops being such a soft pussy and to start making some layups, you aren't going anywhere. Boozer had a garbage game and we still win by double digits...give me a break.

And I suppose our smashing of your team WITH all your players available in Utah earlier this year is irrelevant? Or that it doesn't matter, because you beat our team without our best player?
Stupid trolls.
Anyways, here's what we need to work on:
1. Free throw shooting. It was pathetic, we all saw it. Absolutely no excuse, for any of them.
2. Make those layups. When we miss them, we often give up points on the fast brea.
3. TMAC: Needs to drive more, and almost as importantly WAIT UNTIL YOUR OFFENSIVE REBOUNDERS GET SET BEFORE HOISTING THE JUMPER!!!
4. Alston: Take better care of the ball. WAY too many stupid turnovers on fast break missed opportunities.
5. Man up down the stretch. Work it in, get some fouls called, MAKE FTS!
6. Get a healthy Yao back. Speaks for itself.

Stop trolling here
You failed your maths, Jazz didnot win double digits.
Your memory failed you too as You also forgot about the Rocket won over Jazz in Nov at Jazz home court.

Horrible loss.
Missed FT's, bad shots, no execution, no flow and horrible defense in the 4th quarter giving them whatever they wanted inside or outside. They scored 37 points and Korver hit some dagger threes.
McGrady had 19 points on 9-16 shooting in the second half so he played much better from that non factor he was in the first half, but he still settles to much. He was 1-7 from three point land, and I don't understand why he feel he's a good three point shooter he's not. His mid-range game is almost as good as any, but what limits him from being that elite swing-man is that he constantly settles and pulls up for stupid threes after he hits a shot.
Alston is back to the guy we love to hate. His inconsistent shooting, poor decisions on the break. Bonzi has also been very inconsistent, he's only scored double digit points once in the last 10 games and he's also a player that tends to take stupid shots, especially those long range jumpers which he can't hit to save his life.
This was a huge loss, now we fall two games behind Utah and with Portland pulling off the huge comeback against Atlanta, fall two games behind them as well. Next we play the Warriors who we matchup horribly with and that should be another loss.
We really don't have that third option that all other teams ahead of us have. I mean seriously look at it.
Utah-Boozer, Okur, Kirilenko, Deron
Warriors-Jackson, Monta, Baron, Harrington
Portland-Roy, Aldridge, Outlaw
Denver-AI, Melo, Kleiza (?)
Lakers-Kobe, Odom, Bynum
Spurs-Duncan, Parker, Ginobili
Dallas-Terry, Harris, Howard, Dirk
Phoenix-Nash, Amare, Marion, Barbosa, Bell, Hill
We really don't have anybody else that can create their own shot or take pressure off of McGrady/Yao and that'll be our downfall considering our role players are so inconsistent. Even if we make the playoffs, we wouldn't advance against any of the teams we'd likely play. Isn't that the point of this season? To advance? With this current roster and looking at the strength of all the teams around us, our chances of doing that are slim. We really need to make a move for that third option, that could hopefully put us in the playoff category.
