we all known that lowry is 4 times better than lin ...but we( rockets fans) didnot trade lowry it was morey so dont blame me, i cant regret myself for something i didnot do

today is a very sad day for me we just sign a very overrated player who the nba created last year in a big market to sell merchandise

is just not fair what this fat a ss morey is doing to our team, is unreal how rockets fans still believe everything he does is great everything just look at our team is a summer league team plus kevin martin and jeremy lin is crazy bad- not fair after yao and tmcs injuries this s hi t

i think morey was hidden behind yao ming talent -

i predict lins numbers to be ok next season like 15 pts 6 ass 4 rbs because we have a veryyyy bad team and not because hes talented second season his numbers will drop we will have a better team and in his third season i see him being traded as a big expiring contract

this is a big mistake ckuf u morey
fire morey please ,the sooner the better.....ryan Anderson is a 3 not a 4

Yeah I see that. My point was that it isn't any different than an Asian "Lin fanboy" becoming a fan of a team because their favorite player is on it. Get my point? That poster is being hypocritical and acting superior when he in fact did the very same thing.

What I ask of your board is to welcome all of the new Lin fans with open arms. Many of them have just became fans of the NBA because of Linsanity and there's nothing wrong with that. Stupid pissing contests about who is a "better fan" or a "real fan" is just that- stupid. Fans come in many forms and there is nothing wrong with rooting for a player who has beat the odds and has overcome doubters, racism, and a lot of stupidity to become a star in the NBA. I hope that this board is more evolved and kinder than the Knicks board to those who will become new fans to your team.

Yea I get your point, but the thing most are worried about is bad-mouthing directed toward every team associated w/ Lin, and the superior attitude we have all seen from Lin fans this past year.

Already we have had a couple come in and write like Lin is doing Houston a huge favor, and the continued trashing of random Knicks players.

At anyrate this is Rockets board and we're pretty awesome, we shouldn't have too many problems. 8-)

Are you sure it's the Lin fans and not the Lin haters who are posting crap on your board? Why would a Lin fan bash your team when you just acquired him? I am guessing a bigger problem will be bitter Knick fans who come onto this board and try to degrade Lin and his accomplishments in some way. Lin fans on the Knicks board have generally brought intelligent discussion and have been respectful. To me they were never the problem- it was the stupid and racist response to them that was the problem.

Anyway, I will be following your team now because I hope that Lin totally blows up on the Rockets and Linsanity continues. I don't think I'd ever consider myself a Rockets fan but I'd love to see you guys do well so that James Dolan and the Knicks front office gets run out on a rail. And I think Lin WILL excel and am glad he will get that chance on your team.

kam_soluusar wrote:I won't be happy with all the Lin "fanboys" being around. That is going to suck.

I am happy we have sorted our PG situation though. I think he has upside as a player, IS going to improve, and will also be fun to watch. In saying this, he might make us mediocre again, which will definately suck.

What I do love, is that Morey has once again made NYK his bitch. Seriously, Morey should be listed as a sex offender, because he constantly rapes NYK. It's like he's in for a long stretch in prison, and Dolan is a repeat offender that keeps coming back to the prison yard, and is made to bendover by Morey.......

Dolan must like it. Otherwise he wouldn't keep coming back for more.

And the kicker is, Morey never uses Lube either.  :lol

Now he DOES need to re-sign Lee. I think that should actually be his next major priority (Besides offloading Martin!) Let MoJu hold down the middle, stuff getting Asik also. Let's play young, fast basketball.

And stuff Dwight, who needs him? I said it before. I only want players that want to be here. Same goes for you Lin "Fanboys" I first got into NBA Basketball in '92 I knew I didn't want to be a mindless Bull's fan, like most people were. I started following God, I mean Olajuwon. I started supporting the Rox, and have been un-waveringly (Is that a word?) loyal to the Franchise ever since.

I was loyal to the Vancouver Grizzlies through 5 years of lottery basketball type play... thinking things will get better then they moved the team...

I just assume any member with a join date in feb/mar and some variation of "Lin" in there name is a LoF
I could be wrong tho I guess.

Thanks for the support, although I'm positive the Knicks will be just fine, got the DPOY(Chandler may be a bit underrated) backed by a top 5 defensive center, and I see Melo absolutely blowing up next year top 3 in MVP voting... Its an Olympic year and last time Melo came back in with such force and confidence.

Actually just bet a bottle of Remy with my foolish friend who told me Knicks wouldn't finish top 6 in East...

I predict the Knicks will come out storming in the East too...

one thing that Lin did was get the Knicks to play better as a team... before that Knicks were lottery bound even with the overpaid talent that they had to work with...

Actually I think the Knicks are going to be a mess this year and that's what I'm hoping for. Without a good point guard to try to somehow make the Melo-Amare combo work, the Knicks will be lucky to make the playoffs. They have gone back to the culture they had during the Isiah years with out of shape prima donnas who don't play defense running the show. The Knicks will be a treadmill team for years to come and ownership will be okay with that so long as they sell tickets.

You act as if we Rocket fans don't know much about lowry. WE watched alot of his games. While he is a good pg, we know v well his limitations too. He has difficulty creating his own shot, but has the ability to draw fouls. He is tough but he is just a little slow against the faster guards, and has difficulty against taller defenders.

I thnk that morey did very well to get first draft pick (lottery), which we can use to trade for a superstar.

And we got Lin luckily. And Lin can attract a big name superstar better than lowry can.

So we have LIN, and torontos draft pick. Which is very valuable. I'd rather have that than just lowry leading a subpar team.

Trade Kevin Martin, Patrick Patterson, Marcus Morris, Royce White, Jeremy Lamb, 3 Future 1st Round Picks from DAL, MEM & TOR for Dwight Howard & Glen Davis followed by securing Courtney Lee back along with Asik being signed, they'll still be able to make a deal with the Magic for D12.. They'll be set for one year and could really make noise next year.

PG - J. Lin/S. Livingston
SG - C. Lee/T. Douglas
SF - C. Parsons/T. Jones
PF - D. Montiejunas/G. Davis
C - D. Howard/O. Asik

That's a solid team I believe.

Take it from this well informed Knick fan. You are in great shape. Especially if you get Howard-- and even if you don't. Lin (baring health) is going to be at the minimum an all star.. I expect this 23rd kid with HOF potential to get better every year. This kid has it all... The ONLY thing that ANYONE can hold against him is that he hasn't proven the "consistency" ANNND I know he will prove it...

Congrats to your organization and fanbase. The Rockets have now become one of my "side teams" to watch and root for. Expect to see me post here from time to time... :D

Congrats to the Rockets for landing Jeremy Lin. This kid is the real deal and Rockets fans will love this kid once he is on the floor.

As an UCONN fan, it makes me happy to see Jeremy Lamb and Jeremy Lin playing with each other. Both are young and got a world of potential. Let's hope Rockets won't trade Lamb away. Lamb got a bright future in the league and he can develop well with the Rockets.

The board welcomes all Lin fans. I, personally, am very excited to see Lin on the Rockets roster. Lin fans are welcome to join the conversation. However, please be mindful that this is a Rockets forum first and (insert any player on the Rockets) forum second. In other words, Lin fans should not come here and disrespect any Rockets fans who's supported the team through thick and thin. I also request that all existing Rockets to welcome the Lin fans.
