Wow Brooks 28 minutes today and Alston only 20.
And Brooks didn't play very good either.
I can't wait until his 3's start to fall.

Now we are one game from the 7th spot , 3 games from Denver for the 6th spot , and Lakers will start faling with the harder schedule and their injuries.
If we beat both Utah and GS we will be 7th or 8th seed and we mgiht even be able to catch the 6th or 5th seed later in the season.
This win is huge but it's worth nothhing if we don't win at least one of the next 2.
We really need to win both since it's at home.

With landry and brooks, the future seems bright. tmac despit not being outstanding was solid. 15-4-4 is solid. scola 11-12 boards and 3 steals was great. landry however was the mvp tonight. 12 points 8 boards on 5-6 shooting and a couple of daggars to seal it.

What a win.

Scola came up huge in the 4th quarter, great execution down the stretch, the defense was stifling, Brooks and Landry were fantastic as well, hitting shots and FT's down the stretch. We really did a good job not turning the ball over from under the 10 minute mark of the 4th quarter.

We had 20 turnovers and shot 40% from the field and were still able to pull it out.

I just love Landry dude, 12 points and 8 rebounds. Did a great job on the boards, a 48-30 advantage and had 6 more offensive rebounds.

well Adelman showed lot of guts by playing 3 rookies down the stretch

also look like Hayes is near-officially in the RA's doghouse
(until Landry learn how to stay out of foul trouble)

Good game guys. It looks like Houston's starting to put up a little show here for the rest of the league.

Who knows? Maybe we'll meet up in the playoffs.

But I tell you, the return of Clyde, Aldeman, Bonzi, and Brooks does not bode well with us for some reason.

I thought we'd win this game because we were able to catch them after a long road trip and it showed in the 2nd half. They were very sluggish.

A few thoughts:
-Landry... man I don't see how he won't be starting by the end of the season. The only thing limiting his minutes is his fouling but he'll adjust as he gets more PT.

-What the hell happened to Scola? Shaky on the J, shaky at the FT line, doing stupid fouls, missed more defensive rotations in this game than probably all the other players combined... and the Blazer announcers said that T-Mac was straight chewing his ear off on multiple occassions.

-Hayes should just stay on the bench unless during specific defensive situations or match-up issues. They practically leave him open right under the basket and that's actually good defense.

-They specifically tried to take Yao out of the game, doubling him off the ball. Of course this was easy since they were able to ignore Hayes. It's times like these I wish Yao was a more dominant rebounder.

-First time in a while I've seen Alston benched during the stretch run but I think it was because the squad on the floor was doing so well. And man Brooks has more handles than I thought he was able to dribble through the press multiple times in the backcourt. Impressive.

-I like how Head really tried to penetrate and dish. It was up and down but he's trying to expand his game which is good. He really has to develop an aggressive mentality because he is a defensive liability so he has to make up for it on the other side. He seems way too passive at times.

-We were beyond sloppy in transition. I wonder if they even got a practice in between games (they should have given the proximity of them). Hopefully we can do a practice before the Utah game.

he's taking the same shots as Hayes
difference is one is playing above the rim --> Landry, the other is playing below the rim --> Hayes

http://www.nba.com/hotspots/
click the link and choose Landry
all his shots are close to the rim (except 2)
he's shooting 80%+
imagine if Hayes can made more than 60%

Hayes seems like too nice of a guy / too hard of a worker to be in a coach's doghouse. But Scola / Landry are leaving RA no option; they MUST be on the court, especially when T-Mac is in the game, creating.
