And that Landry fella sure can finish down low... wow... has it been 2 or 3 games now where he's been one of the keys to the Rocket's late game surges? Huge baskets and rebounds for a rookie...

seem like they aren't really good when trailing

give them 2 more years they will be dangerous

It's sad but with the way this years rookies are playing, he might just make it. This years rooks have made absolutely no impact on the league.

Chuck is actually the guy I'd trust the most guarding Boozer. He is strong enough to muscle up Boozer and force him into tough fadeaways. The problem with that is that Yao then has to guard Okur, which means he must come to the three point line, and not only is he extremely uncomfortable guarding the perimeter, the lane opens wide for Utah to run their hard slashes and cuts into the lane with guys like Harpring. If the Jazz had say Ostertag at center Yao would have no problems at all, he would just guard Ostertag and defend the paint like he normally does. I think the fact that he has to guard Boozer really wears Yao down when he plays the Jazz.

I'm really surprised at how well Landry can finish around the basket. But yeah you can't put him on Boozer he'd foul out in 30 seconds.

I actually like the zone idea, and we have seen some zone a little this season. Zone defenses were killing Utah, that's why they traded for Korver, but I think it can still work in stretches. Problem is I don't think Houston plays a very good zone as it hasn't really been used much. But at least they should have a lot of game footage of Utah hehe.

But when I get home, the 1st thing I'll check is Yao's shot attempts. If he gets fewer than 22, I'll know we lost.

Yao = our glaring advantage.
Guard play = Portland's glaring advantage.

C'mon, Adelman. Do the math. Get Yao his touches in places where he can do something with the ball..

Wow. When I'm wrong, I'm really really wrong.

8 shot attempts for Yao and Rox win by 10? I'll take the win, but that's odd.

Adding to your confusion must be the fact that McGrady had a subpar game as well. They had a zone scheme where Yao was doubled without the ball, he didn't do much with it when he got the ball, and he was called for some ridiculous fouls. McGrady was affected by the zone as well.

Simply put, the role players stepped up today.
