I didn't this morning. Ugh, took all I could to drag my ass out of bed. I'll get my run in tomorrow morning. I like getting started around 5 or so for the run, that gives me plenty of time to get showered, eat and get to work early like a good, productive American.

...then I piss away countless hours on the internet talking hoops.

I eventually plan on running before and after work, but that will have to wait util I get back from basic.

Suffering from heat stress from yesterday. Feel like utter hell right now. Forget being ready for winter: I want a new Ice Age.

Our heat wave has been going on for weeks and has no end in sight. Mayor Parker is going to be announcing water restrictions in the next couple days (overdue, in my opinion).

At this point I'm cheering for a tropical storm!

...just as long as it doesn't camp out over the city for three days like Allison.

Heat:
Yeah, heat can suck it.
Maybe this wave will have everyone remembering how nice winter is when it shows up and not moaning constantly after it starts to dip under 70....

Then again, my gf and her daughter BOTH wore jackets TODAY.

VG's:
Too busy saving to bother buying the latest sequel with slightly different character models and a minor gameplay tweak. Worried about pending recession, and homebrew is better than most new games anyway.

Movies:
Intermittently watching Fitzcarraldo, Cpt America was good, Lantern was watchable, Transformers was modestly more coherent than the last one, and I'm an absolute idiot for having spent 150-200 on movies in theatres when I have netflix, 57", surround sound, and plenty of ability to wait the month for it to show up for streaming.

Hollywood keeps making me feel insulted lately.

I've started up the Rockets Board Fantasy Football League again. The emails should be sent to whomever was in it last year. For the new guys, depending on how many have already signed up (and what the entire group wants), I'll send you the contact info via PM. I don't know if I should start a new thread, or just keep it in here.

And oh, draft time/date is obviously up for discussion, the current date is just preliminary to get it started.

I'm sorry I won't be able to play this year (you lucky mofos). I'll be in basic training from Sept-Dec. You are all very lucky, because I was going to kill y'all. But try to see if you can get a league going with the Dallas or Utah board. Just have two divisions and 8 owners from each board. It would be real fun to use the rivalry (hatred) for fantasy football.

I'd say "enjoy" basic, but...heh heh...

Just look forward to being in the best damned shape of your life! ;)

I've avoided FF for the past few years but I'll play this year if you have a spot.

Texas A&M has a press conference scheduled for Monday to discuss their future conference affiliation. Everything is sounding like they're bolting for the SEC.

That was quick.

Zierlein starts at 790, next week. With Matt & Adam 7-10 am, by himself 10-11.

Sweet.

Lol... Yeah that's the plan. Then I'd finally be able to play more than 1 game of full court at a time.

These days, army reserve is pretty much army, isn't it? I'm pretty sure that a couple years ago it might as well have been...
