I've seen a few Cap'n billboards around town now.

Re: The OT Thread
I am still mourning the loss of Boudreaux from late last year (my bulldog)...I have been putting off getting a new dog because I don't want to feel like I am trying to replace him because he was seriously the coolest dog ever and I loved him...
Butttttt I keep getting told by my family and gf i should get a new dog...I refuse to get another bulldog because then I would really feel like I was trying to replace boo
Has anyone ever had a basset hound? I think they're hilariously awesome and they're my dads favorite dog. I have researched their health and all that online, but I was hoping against hope I could find someone who owned one on here and could give first person experience because after all my research with bulldogs and all the vet visits Boudreaux still died before his time

Re: The OT Thread
For myself, it's corgis or siberian huskies all the way - assuming I ever get another dog. I'm really not much of a dog person, but I don't feel like its "replacing" the last dog so much as getting another one. Do parents replace the first kid by having a second? The first kid was the first kid. The second is the second. You gotta recognize their individuality.

I used to enjoy Simmons' site, even though it was all crap. Between Zach Lowe and Bill's commercialization, his quality has absolutely plummeted.

Jeremy Lin featured in Valve's Dota 2 documentary "Free to play" which was just released. If you're into competitive gaming or just wanna see Jeremy in this, it's worth your time:

Especially now that Duke lost in round 1, Jabari Parker might not leave. Neither will Joel Embidd, since he's got health issues.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Simmons, to me, fell off a long time ago and now I have to read about Lowe moaning about everything NBA and how he can "fix it". It's nauseating to me. I'm not sure this guy ever picks up a basketball.

Can't remember who it was that agreed with me that Christopher Moore is a genius, but I'm finally reading his last book sacre bleu and I think it's his worst (it's still ok) but I would even take his graphic novel griff over it!
Took me awhile to get to it because my dad keeps giving me new books by Vonnegut, Tom Robbins and kinky Friedman....I haven't gotten to the kinky because the one I read by him was just meh.
Seriously hoping moores next book is as good as his previous books (no way any book written will ever be as good as lamb or fool but if it's as good as any other book I will love it)
