Aaron Brooks has made over 200 three-pointers this season.

Was there another Rockets who made more 3-pointers in a single season
than Brooks?

I think many of us didn't even realize that he broke Rafer Alston's single season 3PTM record. He (along with Cuttino Mobley and Jim Jackson) has to be the best three-point shooters in Rockets franchise. People overlook his outside shots because he does many other things such as driving to the hoop and pull up in the mid-range area. As a result, we think of Brooks more as a scorer rather than a shooter.

Regardless, this is quite an accomplishment. Congratulations, Aaron Brooks.

brooks leads the nba in 3pointers made this season.

Yep he's been leading 3PM since the first month. That's why I was quite surprised he didn't get an invite to the All Star 3 Pointer Competition.

I think AB deserves the MIP award. But since Kevin Durant is up for the award too, I am afraid they will give it to him.

AB's playing time has increased to 143% what it was last year, while KD has only increased it to 101% of what it was last year. Obviously increased playing time come with increased stats. Yes I know that stats aren't everything, and AB has done a great job leading the Rockets this year to a record much better than most (non Rockets fans) had predicted. But the Rockets were not rewarded with any games on TNT or ESPN (there is a token game coming against the Jazz, but it was added as an afterthought).

So even though those that are voting on this may have watched many games, most of the NBA fans may not have. Would they vote on who people would expect to win it? Are they grooming KD for many awards since he will be one of the faces of the NBA for years to come?

I'd like to somewhat normalize that for you... since a lot of Brooks' raw stats can be explained away by the minutes increase...

While his stock is high, trade him to Hornets for Collison.
Rockets need a starting PG.

Brooks-Lowry compliment each other

Lowry-Collison are pretty similar

He's had an amazing season, averaged nearly 20 PPG, led the league in three point makes, and most impressive shot nearly 40% from behind the arc.

I would want a pg like Collison on my team, and not a shooter.

Having Brooks and Martin at the starting lineup is not much different from the Francis/Mobley era.

My starting 5 would be:

PG Collison
SG Martin
SF Ariza
PF Scola
C Yao
