This Summer if all were avaliable: Bosh/Joe Johnson or LBJ

Let's say this summer the Rox were able to get either Bosh and Joe Johnson or Lebron James. Would you rather get both Bosh and Johnson or Lebron James only?

NOTE: Let's assume you had to give up the same amount in either case.

Lineup Sample:

PG Brooks
SG Johnson/Martin
SF Ariza/Battier
PF Bosh/Scola
C Yao

or

PG Brooks
SG Martin/Ariza
SF Lebron/Battier
PF Scola
C Yao

Yes this is hypothetical, but I am curious on how you would view the situation.

As much as I dislike Cleveland... LBJ no doubt

Lebron pretty easily. The Rockets already have Martin at sg and Scola at pf. Lebron at sf is basically like an all-star lineup.

Lebron, no question.

My lineup:

PG Brooks/Lowry
SG Martin/Budinger
SF: Ariza/Battier
PF: James/Scola
C: Yao/Hill/Hayes

Play Lebron at the 4, have Olajuwon teach him post moves. Run the offense through him on each play; opens up Ariza/Martin to play off the ball, Brooks to set up or slash, Yao to operate on the low block.

Or, look at it compared to Adelman's Kings teams:

Brooks = Bibby
Martin = Peja
Ariza = Christie
James = Webber
Yao = Divac

Not bad.

I would probably do this:
Lebron
Martin
Ariza
Scola
Yao

I wouldn't want Lebron taking touches away from Yao in the post. He would be better off bringing the ball up the court and running the offense. Brooks could come off the bench and sub for Ariza and Martin. He could have a a role similar to Crawford's role on the Hawks.

Wouldn't necessarily need to take post touches away--turn him into a super-point-forward; play a four-perimeter/one-post offense like the Magic; set up high-low. He'll get points in transition, moving off the ball on occasion, and in iso plays, plus whatever post touches he gets.

If he plays point forward I would like to see Brooks coming off the bench. There's no need to have two bad defenders in the back court when you already have enough scoring.

So it'd be more logical for Martin to come off the Bench, why would you want Lebron chasing PGs around on defense, he coasts enough as it is on the Cavs.

Brooks
Ariza
Bron
Scola
Yao

Martin is better than Brooks w/o the ball and I would probably make Ariza guard the pg. Martin would be good off the bench as well, but I think he'd complement Bron better than Brooks.

give me bosh and JJ...

either way we win the ship, but the pattern of this team are injuries... and ill take the allstar depth...

PG-Johnson/Brooks
SG-Martin/Johnson
SF-Ariza/Budinger
PF-Bosh/Scola
C-Yao/Rookie Center

WOW...

The sad part is that Jordan probably would come out of retirement and sign with the Rockets if they asked him to.

Agreed people are underrating Bosh & JJ greatly here...

Yes Lebron is awesome but Martin and Yao always get hurt, we would probably trade Martin anyway once acquiring Lebron no point in having Martin as the 4th option.

PG Brooks
SG Johnson/Martin
SF Ariza/Battier
PF Bosh/Scola
C Yao

OMG look at that depth... 3 allstars and 3 just under allstar level. Martin and Scola would be starters in the Lebron lineup

That's equal to the chance of lebron coming here.

If you have a chance to get Lebron Freaking James that trumps all cards in the house. And i'm a Atlanta Hawks fan that has watched JJ his whole career here, even with the combo of Bosh that's a no brainer. Wake up in Houston, Earth to Houston. Is anybody home??

Man, this sounds like a psychology research lab.. If I was the Rocket, I'll take LBJ. There are only so many minutes to give out, you won't have much minutes to give to Martin, Scola, and Battier if you're taking both JJ and Bosh.

Beside, Lebron leads his team to consecutive 60+ winning seasons, lead the league both year. He also went to the Finals before, and might have won last year if they didn't meet the Magic. Bosh isn't in the playoff, and JJ is on the verge of a 1st round upset.
