Wolves fan here... Big Al.... interested?

As a huge Wolves fan, I don't know if I'd want to see Al Jefferson traded or not.. However, I think either Love or Al will be traded for sure this off-season. That being a reality, what would you give up for Big Al?
Any interest?
Big Al for Scola and Ariza?

Scola is free agent
how about Jeffries and Hill?

Scola - sign and trade since he is a RFA
Jeffries.... no offense, but the Rockets are stuck with Jeffries. Everyone in the NBA knows he's overpaid.

Or, do you have any interest in KLove?
KLove for J Hill / Ariza?

haha my trade for tomorrow was gonna be one for Al Jefferson.
Another player I feel would love to play at the 4 spot instead of the 5.

I imagine Morey calls up Kahn if Stat/Bosh plans fall through over the summer.

he's a restricted free agent, if we signed him to a new contract 20% more than his previous salary, then he will be base year compensation (BYC) player. Which means his trade value is half of his new salary. Assume his new contract is 10million, you still have to take Jeffries (expired) to match Jefferson's contract.

You guys have Ariza on a contract of 5.8 mill.
Scola would then be projected at 5 mill as BYC on a 10 mill contract
That's 10.8 million for Al's 12 million dollar contract. I'm sure we could find an extra contract from your roster to make this deal work.
So... am I in the ball park for a realistic deal for both sides? Minny isn't touching Jefferies.

I'm confused. Are we talking about AI or AJ? (People keep typing "AI".)
...because Iverson sucks...and Minny doesn't have his rights. AJefferson, on the other hand, would be a nice addition.
(or does my iPad fail me, like so many TWolf GMs?) Is this thread just too small to read?

You know Big Al. Al Jefferson.

If we missed on Bosh, Al Jeff or even K-Love would be a nice consolation
I would say Hill, Taylor and a Draft Pick or two. Rockets want to keep Scola around with Yao's uncertain future.
Brooks/Lowry
Martin/Budinger
Ariza/Battier
Al Jeff/Hayes
Yao/Scola

^^ There's no way that happens. We have plenty of draft picks, 3 first rounders to be exact. Jordan Hill is a prospect and only viewed as a bonus in a trade.

if Jordan Hill was only viewed as a bonus in a trade, he wouldn't be the first player Toronto was "salivating" over in a potential Bosh to Houston trade.
Besides this is Minnesota and David Khan we are talking about. He can get Morey'd and not even realize what has hit him. You can even have Jared Jeffries to make the salaries work.

Look man, we wont be trading our core.. Brooks, Martin, Lowry, Ariza, maybe even Scola unless its a HUGE improvment.. Which Al Jefferson isnt, he is the modern day old Zach Randolph.
If Hill is just a bonus, we'll just keep this team and add Yao, then take it from there

Does this mean Yao will play in the high post? We all know how that experiment went.

Yeah unlike Bosh, Stat, and Scola, Al plays stricky in the paint. He really good in there but he doesn't give us another dimension and I'd be worried about his fit.

I'd prefer Love, or (especially) Rubio before Jefferson. I'd be willing to give up serious assets to make it happen too.
I don't really like Jefferson's game at all, and when you consider is injury-prone ness and his contract, I wouldn't trade for him, since we have the same concerns with Yao.

Really tbh I getting Love or Jefferson wouldn't be that much of a upgrade over Scola.
Jefferson: injury prone and we all know we've had enough of this. Low post operator which will render Yao less effective.. Mentality to win?
Love: Would be a decent fit, but would he be that much better than Scola? Scola knows the system has good chemistry with the team and has a similar game to Love.
Like the above poster said were looking for a big man that has similar qualities to STAT,Bosh and Scola. If we can't get that, we need a quality center and address other positions.

Thanks for the info guys. I guess we (Wolves) don't make good trade partners with the Rockets. For the record, the Wolves aren't trading Rubio for anything.
