The value of those Knicks picks just went up!

Most of us here hate the Heat probably, but hey look at the bright side, The Knicks were a non-defense playing terrible basketball organization for the past decade, and after 2010 Free Agency they still are.

Daryl Morey basically sucked their souls out for the Knicks to just simply "try" to be big players in the 2010 Free Agency and he took pretty much everything they were willing to give. From a Rockets fan perspective, the value of those Knicks picks multiplied by 100 just now, let's discuss what can be attained by those? Will Morey deal them? Should we keep them?

Possible lottery pick maybe in the 9th 16th range. I'll take that.

Deal them. Soon.

I'm not saying take the first thing offerred, but Morey should be shopping the NY assets.

Here's the way I see it: Donnie Walsh went "All-In" for that trade, and I think that Dolan pushed him in that direction. Now that the foolish "2 Max Cat" strategy flamed out spectacularly, I think that Dolan may actually be more willing to listen to Walsh in regards to their next course of action.

The David Lee trade was a good move for the Knicks - not a blockbuster, but a clear sign that they're moving in a different direction from "Superstar or Bust."

Right now I think that there is enough skepticism about the Knicks future to get a lot of value out of our 2011 first (pick swap) and the 2012 Knicks first. I don't want to give the Knicks a chance to show signs of improvement - deal the picks now while things seem bleak!

I personally think the Knicks are in a very bad position right now, they might be even worse than you predictions. Especially with a lot of the big names going away from the market.

I think they've improved. They were a 30ish team last year. I'm all for the #1 pick but that'll probably only happen if Amare goes out for a substantial amount of time.

Can't swap the pick if it is #1 overall but i am sure they are banging there heads against the wall. 5/100 to Amare with no James and we are going to lose our lotto pick. They need to be on suicide what

Knicks got worst sorry, at least Lee bring it every night, cant say the same for Amare. Unless the Knicks can do some dealing, they aren't that better than last year.

Read Bill Simmons latest article, and you'll understand why there are many reasons to dislike them all. One of them is also a quitter, on the biggest stage of his career.

How can anyone like LeQuit seriously? The guy think hes bigger than the sports itself, and way he stab Cleveland. I wasn't mad that he left, I can understand why, but the way he did it. That's like your gf dumping you in front of all the kids at school. But its whatever, Knicks didn't get him so the option to swap pick look really good for us. They did pick up some nice talent from the Lee trade, but I don't see them improving much.

Neither is Wade. Only Bosh is ok with me.

Agreed, Morey needs to hurry and ship the picks out before teams take notice of its true value.

I coulda swore it was Top 5 protected next year and Top 1 protected in 2012....

knicks fan here not trolling but it is top 5 protected next year and 1st protected in 2012... and if the knicks land in the top 5 which seems unlikely, but if they do, the swap is off and you guys get nothing ever.

Not trying to sound mean, just saying for instance the knicks land the 4th pick, its protedcted HOU cant swap and receives nothing at any point that part of the deal is off.

One final note i dont think HOU can trade HOU's right to swap picks with the knicks to another team. Think about it, is the right to swap picks a tradeable assets I never seen anything like that traded.

Now you guys can trade the 2012 pick but the knicks will be in the playoffs by then.. We will either be adding players in the 2011 free agency or we will trade curry expiring during this season to improve

IMHO
