I think the Rockets should try and work a three way deal with our favorite trade partners the Kings. I have no ideas really but do any of you have any?

I can see a Dalembert deal happening around the trade deadline, Sac will start him for half a season while Cousins gets accustomed to the NBA game, no point in them trading him during the summer.

The kings have a very impressive big man rotation with Landry, Thompson, Cousins, and Dalembert. I'm thinking Whiteside will be like a DeAndre Jordan type guy, so I'm not going to count him quite yet.

And that is why I think we could do something to get a Dalembert. The Kings are a young team with and even younger talented front court and Dalembert will go to waste. We just need to find the third team that can help us out in this process.

he'd be the best backup center. i always try to draft him in nba2k. he's a prototype, he needs to be on a good playoff team at the very least

ya he's a free agent in 2011, $12.2M this season

Yes he is and Kings are a promising team that needs help in the backcourt.

Hamilton is 32, by the time the Kings are contenders, he'll be on his last legs (if he isn't already) why take on his toxic contract now? Veteran leadership can be had for a much cheaper price. True on them not being contenders but don't count them out of making the playoffs as a 7th or 8th seed. 32 is not the age were basketball athletes are on their last legs. He has 4 years of being a good player in the NBA. His game is not based off athleticism but rather motion and screens. Would you consider Kobe being on his last legs, he may be 31 but he has played 3 more years. Dirk is the same age. Evans is a point guard and is still as kid so keeping up with those type of players is not a challenge for him now. Long, athletic, and fast is what Evens is and why he was drafted to play the 1. If they are in need of a PG why haven't I seen their team looking into the PGs out there. I have only seen them looking shooting guards, small forwards, and combo guards. Hamilton contract is not toxic only 2 years left and last year is not fully guaranteed.

Okay with that said I am throwing things out there because Dalembert is someone we need, Kings need some like Hamilton, and Detroit needs to shed salary. If there is something else out there that can make the money work then I would like to know

Kings fans discussing the type of guards they need, most of them named are PGs that can shoot, then theres the occasional SG mentioned because Evans needs a backup, They are set at the 3 with Donte Greene And Omri Casspi, The played him at the 1 because Martin was the SG for half the year and Udrih is inconsistent.

I see names at the need for PG, SF, and SG but that is the fans talking not the front office. Front office is looking into and talk to players like T-Mac and Randy Foyle but nothing about Steve Blake, Derrick Fisher, Kyle Lowry (the best PG in free agency), and Jordan Farmar.

Blake, Fisher, and Farmar are all signed or going to be signed. Hamilton's last year may be unguaranteed but $9M of it is.

The Kings may have drafted Evans to be a PG, but everyone here can see that he's going to be more successful at the 2.

Yeah but before they are sign but I never saw their names associated with Kings. Some of them reached an agreement two weeks into free agency so they the Kings had plenty of chances to talk to them.

Kings are nowhere never going over the cap and had the money to sign a max player if any wanted to play for them. They did need Dalembert but they thought that Favors and Cousins would both be of the board so they trade for him. Hamilton will not hurt their cap and put them into the LT.

That still doesn't change the fact that the Kings aren't going to be able to sign them. What are you trying to say here..? That they aren't available? That's what I just said.

No maybe not, but just because you want something to happen doesn't mean other fanbases want it as well. The Kings look like they're ready to roll with Udrih at the 1 and Evans at the 2 - I doubt that they'd be willing to sacrifice the development of Evans for Rip. They're pretty much set at the 2 and are most likely looking for an upgrade at the 1.
