I know that this is a minority opinion around here, but I do not want to get rid of David Andersen, especially with the signing of Brad Miller.

Now that we have Miller here, with the Truck & possibly Jordan Hill helping to keep Yao's minutes down we can all stop pretending that the Big Aussie is in any way an NBA Center. We can now utilize him in a more natural role: Small Forward off the bench.

Yes, Small Forward. He's not a post up guy; but he can go inside. He can hit from the outside, and having a 7-footer out there with Yao and Luis inside has the potential to create matchup hell for other teams.

Most of his problems last season I attributed to his confidence being eroded by being played out of position most of last season. I think back to that Lakers game where he went off offensively, and that was doing pretty much what I'm describing here.

I know what you are all thinking...that kam solusaar hacked my account and is posting as Mr. E; but remember that I was always very pro-DA last season.

If that's not enough to convince you that I'm not Kam, let me offer the following: "I am glad that we sold high on Carl Landry and used him in a trade to acquire Kevin Martin."

Who will defend the other team's SF?

I'm not saying that he's going to get a ton of minutes; but I do think that he'll be more effective in limited minutes than he was last season.

I'm looking over this Rockets roster and I'm seeing all kinds of combos & lineups. I think that we are now at a point where we can use this guy to his full potential.

i was high on him too but not anymore. i dont mind keeping him, but to get minutes he needs to prove he's worthy over jj, hill, and patterson.

playing him at sf...lol, i dunno, we're stacked at the wings and we have scola, brooks, and martin starting and playing majority of thier position's minutes. i'd rather have shane/arzia/bud take up the sf minutes

we're good enough to have a buncha good lineups, but i dunno if adelman would allow it, cuz of chemistry issues or just being too stubborn.

Seriously though, if he doesn't, we trade him.

He seems like a good guy and all but the guy has to realize that he's 7 freaking feet tall.

Somewhere, Michael Vick just smiled.

DA had his 1st whole summer to play ball with NBA players. He spent it here, which will likely prove beneficial. I have high hopes for the guy. Hopes which will probably go un-met.

But there's no way he has the lateral speed to play SF.

He'll be lucky to see 5 mpg. Real lucky.

DA will play the spreading the floor PF role.

Scola is the PF starter. After him, the time will split on who Rockets are playing. DA, Patterson, Hill, Hayes will play depend on the opponents. Patterson's development is a threat to DA given Patterson has the range to 3pt line.
