Housrou Kedji is scheduled to be arraigned in federal court Friday after being caught as he tried to board an Air France flight leaving Bush Intercontinental Airport. He is charged with two counts of drug-trafficking.

The 42-year-old citizen of the African nation of Togo gave up 2.2 pounds of his illicit cargo while sitting on a special no-flow toilet under the eyes of federal agents and doctors at a local hospital.

Cocaine is really getting popular in Europe nowadays huh? There was a documentary on Current about how easily accessible it's become.

Fcuking Western Imperialism forces people to do that, because in many african countries people are left with basically nothing and have no other hope. That is why they choose to use primitive wood boats to cross the ocean to reach Europe, while risking their live. Then when they are here, they don't have anything, so their only choice is to do this type of disgusting stuff. These people are the poorest of the poor. And Western nations continue to systematically exploit them.

Coke is prohibitively expensive in Australia. But then, we are not a stones throw from South America, where a majority of the worlds Cocaine is produced. The biggest problem in Australia is Ice, (Damn Asians!) Speed as well. Personally, I would rather just smoke weed, Hey hey, hey hey hey!

Although in saying this, nothing beats snorting cocaine of a hookers arse!

Kings fan here, I saw this story and I couldn't help but comment. I don't know how many of you are familiar with the television show Locked Up Abroad. Each documentary episode typically has a different person or persons who was arrested (usually for drugs) in a country not their own (they are often from the U.K., and arrested in your typical dystopian third world country).

One episode in particular deals with a guy from England who swallows something like 60 plus maple syrup covered condoms (no Trojan isn't selling new Canadian themed condoms, the guy coated each one in a thin layer of syrup in the hopes the would go down more easily) filled with cocaine or maybe heroin, I can't remember which. He gets caught in Australia which is obviously not your typical dytopian third world country . The kicker is that this guy had some surgery when he was a kid that made his digestive system smaller and more constricted than it would've been otherwise, if he had not been caught and forced to undergo surgery to have them removed he certainly would've died.

^Those things that blow a bunch of wind at you, at some airports, have infa-red scanning capabilities. Plus the dogs can still smell cocaine on a person, especially if they didn't clean themselves before going to the airport. If he's dirty enough to try and hold all that coke in his mouth, then he's probably dirty enough to not wash his hands or change his clothes after dealing with all of that coke. Just sayin'.

Having chronic political corruption, chronic tribal warfare,religious wars,an incredible rate of illiteracy and disease....that's the big deal. Colonialism has been dead more than 30 ye and a lot of that is because trying to run a country that's basically disfunctional is more trouble than it's worth.

How much US or Euro presence do you see in Somalia? The Sudan? Virtually NONE. Countries a bit more stable with some resources to sell, get customers,and a very small elite hogs the income.
Gradually a FEW countries are developing some middle class,investing in some infrastructure,in education,but it's a slow proceess. Cultures don't evolve overnight. Only 100 yr ago much of Africa was tribes of hunters with stone age tech.
