OT: The world Championships

Post#1 » by kam_soluusar » Tue Aug 24, 2010 11:38 pm

Australia:

David Andersen, David Barlow, Aron Baynes, Adam Gibson, Joe Ingles, Steven Markovic, Aleks Maric, Damian Martin, Patrick Mills, Brad Newley, Matthew Nielsen, Mark Worthington.

Not a bad team Patty Mills will kill a lot of PG's in the Championships. Sadly, Bogut won't be playing, (Due to his nasty injury prior to the Playoffs last year.) and Nathan Jawai isn't going either, (Charlotte Bobcats.)

Now if you watch, you will see how Andersen can be effectively used. It appears that most teams haven't got a big bruiser of a centre, I just hope Australia is one of the top six teams. Only two of our players are based in Australia, the rest are in Europe, or the NBA.

Finally SOMETHING Basketball to look forward to. October seems an eternity away.

Interesting team. Looking forward to seeing Andersen & Newley.

As for our USA team, it really seems like the Next Generation is stepping up. I don't know how they'll work together, but Durant should step forward as the team leader. Hopefully this group of guys will take international competition more seriously than previous NBA players who would just show up every four years for the Olympics...if that.
