Post#1 » by Tha Fixx2 » Sun Aug 29, 2010 5:16 pm

The last post i made was one about Melo and for you guys who think i was just advertising The only reason that i put that link their is because their was a Interview with Mike Harris in that magazine so that's why and as for what you guys think about that everyone has an opinion if you know what i mean.

So now that i have cleared the air let me get to my next question.
Which one of the players with non-guaranteed contracts have the best chance of making the team?

I think Mike Harris is a phenomenal baller.
Before anyone accuses me of saying otherwise,
Talented, modest, cheap.
Look. He can play.

lmao, even if there was an interview w/ harris, u coulda TOLD US. u cant just join a message board, post 1 or 2 sentences about something, then plug ur website. that's what spammers usually do.

if smith's contract is unguaranteed then he'll stay, morey wanted a 3rd pg for some reason. dunno why cuz we can just sign pgs to 10 day contracts brooks or lowry get hurt. plus we're in the luxary tax, why spend money on a 3rd pg? when ours are usually healthy? but hey this guys young, i think from the 2010 draft class, had good stats in college. maybe its a plan for the future?

roxfashoballin,
Smith is prob going to spend the season leading the RGV Vipers where he can get experience, work on his outside shooting and be available in case Brooks or Lowry goes down. When Lowry went down last yr the Rockets dropped out of the Playoff chase.
Smith is a pass-first PG who runs and penetrates. Which would be fine for the back-up PG for 6-8minutes in case Brooks or Lowry went down for a week or two.

i dont think morey wants to risk putting smith in the dleague, where he can go to another team if they pick him up. we got more than enough players at 2-4. bud, taylor, lee all deserve playing time and i think coach will give them as many minutes as he can. and our pf position is stacked.

i dont think being injured for one season makes u injury prone. lowry and brooks will be healthy for the most part imo. and lee can play a little bit of pg.

If they're in the d-league, but under contract to us, another team can still call them up?

You sure about that?
Morey 2020.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor

hmm shoulda thought of that. i always thought they can go to another team regardless. dont know a whole lot about cba side of the nba.

if he goes to the dleague for most if not all of his 1st year, then i can see harris getting a roster spot, but i doubt he'll play at all. i dont think he should play ahead of any one on the roster. cbud, taylor, lee, patterson, and hill all need as much playing time they can get.

dont forget chuck hayes is in his prime, and jeffries needs a chance to play w/ a healthy yao ming aka primary defensive big. harris should only play if there's massive unlucky injuries. although i think the basketball gods have forgiven us for w/e trouble we caused them in the past, so the injury bugs are gone.

No a player under contract to one team can not be signed to another team just because he's in the d-league. Only players who are not signed to any NBA team can be signed to contract. That's why players that are assigned to the d-league still count as a roster spot.
