C-Bud sprained his left ankle yesterday during a scrimmage. Moderate to severe sprain. Can resume bball activity in 4-6 weeks.
https://twitter.com/RocketsJCFRockets say Chase Budinger suffered a severe to moderate left ankle sprain that will keep him from conditioning next three weeks.

lol ankle sprains are nothing to laugh at. especially a severe one.. it's better sometimes to just break your ankle.

Jermaine Taylor and the rights to Sergio Llull to Portland for Rudy Fernandez?
or Walter Herrmann left his team in Spain and wants to return to the NBA.

hey i like trades. i thought that's the whole point of this site.
this is Budinger's second ankle injury in 9 months so just hoping it's not a chronic problem.
Fernandez is available, doesn't cost much and Morey has shown interest in him before

So our SG depth will be Martin / Lee / Fernandez? You do realize that Fernandez is unhappy due to lack of playing time right?

that's one of the downfalls of being able to jump so high.
you wont' ever see: "Hayes out for 4-6 weeks due to mod/severe ankle sprain"
or Miller...

I think Rudy and Kevin can both play some SF

Brad Miller sprained his ankle in the All Star Game in 2004 and missed like 10 games because of it.

Not a chance! Martin can barely body up on SGs so what makes you think he won't get bullied by a SF. We have no need for Rudy and Rudy wants to be a starter. If we get another swingman then it has to be a legit SF but there is no need to get one now. Unless it is Granger or Melo but that is not likely since they both seem to not be on the block.

There's no other choice really. Either you increase Lee's minutes and let Martin play the backup minutes at the 3 or you play Jeffries. And we all know that Jeffries is god awful and has no future with this team. Lee and Martin do. That's why you play Martin at the 3 until Budinger comes back.
Also Budinger will only be out for training camp and pre-season play. If there's a time to try out Martin at the 3, it's now.
Not really a fan of Fernandez, either. I'd rather let Taylor develop.

There's a difference between making a trade that will benefit the team and just making a trade just so you could say you made a trade.
Rudy wants playing time and he's not going to get much here.
