no surprise
hear alexander johnson beat up jordan hill in practice both offense and defense
just not good that we didn't get to see much on him before the cut
it always come down to guaranteed vs non-guaranteed
we definitely need a 3rd pg more than a 4th pf/c

Poor Mike Harris. What is this the 8th time he's gotten waived by the rockets?

JT somehow makes the team with no playing time. I wonder what the Rockets are going to do with him. He is just sitting there.

Yeah, those D-Leaguers were essentially fighting for that 1 open spot and Ishmael Smith earned it. I don't think any other spots were available. We aren't going to cut Jeffries yet because of his huge expiring contract, and guys like Jordan Hill and Jermaine Taylor are likely to be used as trade fillers.

Jermaine Taylor signed a four year, $3,332,457 contract in August 2009. Final two years are fully unguaranteed. 2011/12 season is fully unguaranteed if Taylor is waived on or before August 1st 2011. 2012/13 season is fully unguaranteed if Taylor is waived on or before August 1st 2012. There is also a team option on the last year, which has to be considered one of the most pointless team options since LeBron James fourth year.

Taylor, Smith and Patterson will soon join the Harris & company in the D-League, where they more than likely will have to wait for an opportunity (injury[knock on wood]/trade) to get playing time in the NBA.

Thing about the D-League and the Rockets is that it is not a demotion. It is an opportunity (if they take it). I like the idea of Patterson & Ish Smith getting regular playing time. JT, too...but is he still D-League eligible?

They just made some rules changes. Will it impact any of these guys? I don't think so, since they are all already under contract.

I do wish that Mike Harris would find a team that could use him in a greater capacity.

I don't know why Harris hasn't been in the league regularly. There are plenty of swings in the league that he's better than.
Morey 2020.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor

Yeah, I don't get it. The dude has talent & heart. He'd be a tremendous asset for several teams.

Down here it's just unfortunate because the team is so deep, but you'd think that someone would have interest in him.

Morey must be doing his Jedi Mind Trick on the other GM's: "This is not the swing you're looking for..."
