What's Happening in Houston??

Hey guys, Celtics fan here but the Rockets, along with OKC, are my 2 favorite Western Conference teams. I wasn't following much this past week then logged in today and was surprised to see 0-5 as the team's record. Scola and Brooks are among my favorites. I think Adelman is a great coach. Is Yao ok? Martin? Battier? You have a super talented team. What's happening over there??

Their strength of schedule is the toughest so far in the NBA. The average winning percentage of teams they have played is .709
http://espn.go.com/nba/stats/rpi/_/sort/SOSAnd their defense is the worst in the league too

Yao is barely being used and is basically now the backup C. We have no real C that we can depend on on a daily basis, which is why our defense sucks. Starting Martin and Brooks is also a recipe for disaster on the defensive end.
Oh and Battier is old.

The player who was supposed to make the difference and makes the Rockets (40 wins last year) the team that has been the last years of 50-55 wins, happens to be unfortunately.... FINISHED, DONE, FINITA.. iam sorry for him and all Rockets fans including myself.
And when he plays 35 mins instead of 20 mins he will not make any difference because i said he will never be the player he was anymore, even Chuck Hayes is more useful sometimes.

Hey guys,
I don't have a problem with dangling Yao out there to see if there are any takers. The Heat wouldn't mind for sure...lol

I come across this website by spurs fan and they did a very good advanced statistical analysis of all teams' performance so far.
http://www.48minutesofhell.com/spurs-st ... k-rankingsWhat are their findings?
In the early season, Atlanta has benefited most from factors that are not likely to continue. As of Sunday morning, The Hawks record is perfect thus far at 6-0 (Note: Yeah, they lost to Phoenix yesterday… this was written before that), but they have picked up approximately 1.4 wins more than their scoring margin dictates (scoring margin is a much better predictor or future wins than win/loss record) and 1.4 additional wins due to a soft early season schedule. As their SRS indicates, the Hawks are much closer to average than perfection.
Houston has suffered the most from poor luck thus far, losing 1.6 games more than their scoring differential suggests, 1.2 due to a difficult early schedule and 0.5 from “unlucky shooting.” At this point in the season, one could argue that Houston at 0-5 has played better than Atlanta at 6-0!

The curse that is dampier is what's wrong. Now that he's not gonna be on this team we can start winning. This is a 45-50 win team on paper. I believe we will finish in that range. ATL or NO is gonna finish 50-52 wins if they're lucky. It's only been a couple of games and def no indication of how the season's gonna turn out. Relax.
