ishmael smith has just shown us that even a point guard who can't shoot well can make his teammates better. he runs the offense better than brooks, and he defends much better.

one might be saying gee you guys are playing against the twolves. but from the spurs game he took over the point position in the 2nd half after brook injured his ankle. rockets came back to take the lead.

Why not Rondo in a couple of years? Both seem to have the same style. Ish has the passing ability but I am not sure about the penetrating ability. It seems he is going to make me eat my words about him but he needs to do what he did more often then not in the next 4-6 weeks while Brooks in down

yea he looks similar to rondo..and rondo wasnt a good shooter in the beginning..but this kid is amazingly fast and crossovered everyone and made them llook slow like the matrix. HE's the only bright spot for the rockets. I think Courtney Lee will last 1 season or less than 1 season with the rockets..he sucks at shooting, and his defense is overrated. Jordan hill is inconsistent and the only trade value. And jermaine taylor is just hopeless, he really can't make it in nba. BUt I really like ish smith
