Post#1 » by Mr. E » Mon Nov 8, 2010 11:16 pm

Seems like in every thread we have discussions going on about which guards should be traded, so let's see what everyone thinks.

Which guard is MOST likely to be traded before the midseason trade deadline?

Aaron Brooks
Kevin Martin
Kyle Lowry
Courtney Lee
Ishmael Smith
Jermaine Taylor

slightly cheated yes. but i didnt get a buncha 85 players. i got myself the first pick, and decreased battier's rating so i can get him. but that's it, and it aint that much. nba2k has it's own problems anyway, i feel sorry for those who dont use good sliders.

after getting battiers rating back up after the draft, i decreased it again to low 70s cuz he kept crying about his minutes. the morale system needs a few tweaks. in 10min quarters, he should be ok w/ 15mpg.

and also i already know what players i wanted. so if there was a high rated player when i wanted someone a lot lower i sticked with it. lma was still there after i got scola, i could've used him in a trade to get a pg/sg but i didnt, cuz i want some competition from the cpu.

Yea Battier is a bitch in the game. I played him 26 mpg and he's "annoyed". So i had to bump his minutes back up to 30mpg before he's "content". I need his defense thats the only reason i put up with his antics.

i even get certain players on different teams after the draft, stack a few teams. like this team had yao/dirk and some other good players but were losing somehow, and i thought it was cuz of no good backup center so i gave them foster, now they're top 3 in their conference. i got okur and martin on a team that could use them, and iggy on a team w/ duncan/kaman, they had no good wing players.

I think it's fair to say that anyone on that list is expendable.

Is Will Bynum and a second round pick from the Pistons good enough to trade Brooks for you guys?

Found very interesting that it was claimed 13 teams contacted Rockets about Taylor. Even if that number is slightly exaggerated, that's an awful lot of interest in a player the Rockets were going to dump. Wonder if Rockets were surprised how much interest there was/is in him?

Two things flow from this.
1)The Rockets can be pretty sure if they need to clear roster space in the future they will have no problem doing so.
2)Morey ended up talking to a lot of teams and that may lead to further conversations about other players down the road.

Sorry AB!
It's not that you're bad, it's that things don't seem to fit as-is. It's not a knee-jerk thing with me either, I started thinking about that shortly after we got KMart.

Brooks + Budinger to Sacramento for Omri Casspi + Jason Thompson
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Trading for Thompson while not moving any of our own bigs is redundant. He isn't an upgrade over Hill defensively anyway.

Thompson is a very good rebounder and ok shotblocker. he's 6'11 and 250 so has way more size at the 5 than Hill at 6'10 and 235. Thompson can start at center while Hill backs up both the 4 and 5

Lee can handle 2nd/3rd string minutes at the 1 spot or trade Patterson for a PG.
