HOUSTON - Major League Baseball sources told FOX 26 Sports Houston Astros owner Drayton McLane, Jr. has retained Allen & Co.,an investment-banking firm in New York City, to help him sell his franchise.

MLB sources told FOX 26 Allen & Co. will attempt to sell the Astros franchise for $800 million.

McLane has owned the Astros since 1992.

He has been the most successful owner in the history of the franchise and one of the most successful owners to ever grace the professional sports scene in Houston.

i meant 0.01%
.1% of 800 millions is 800 thousands (sorry i don't have that much, if i do i will be driving ferrari like my ceo)

NY Attorney Miles Prentice Interested in Buying Astros

HOUSTON - On the day Houston Astros owner Drayton McLane announced he had put his franchise up for sale, he acknowledged to FOX 26 Sports he has already had conversations with New York attorney Miles Prentice, who has expressed interest in buying the team.

Prentice is the owner of the Huntsville Stars minor league baseball team in Huntsville, Alabama as well as the Connecticut Tigers in Norwich, Conn. and he is also the co-owner of the Midland Rockhounds, a minor league franchise in Midland, Texas.

"I had known Miles Prentice," McLane said. "He was trying to buy the Kansas City Royals a number of years ago. I was on the ownership committee and I first met him there and then he was involved in trying to buy the (Milwaukee) Brewers and did not make it.
