Sac-Town calling about Brooks

Post#1 » by wadero » Wed Nov 24, 2010 6:09 pm

Read on Insider Sac-Town is asking about Mr. Brooks. If we traded him what would it take?

I would probably do Casspi , Thompson and a 1st for Brooks and Hill. Casspi replace Battier Thompson can replace Hill we add a 1st and we get one of the studs coming out of college next year, barnes, or Jones !!

Brooks, Jeffries and Battier for Dalembert and Casspi
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

That trade is beyond terrible for the kings. Take out the 1st and it is a little better, but the original trade is horrible for an average PG and a rotational big.

I don't get it, Brooks > Casspi, Hill > Thompson and its not like Casspi and Thompson have huge upside either.

Thompson is better at this point just because he can rebound the ball more consistently. He has more bball iq. Thompson avg 12 and 8.5 in his 2nd year. Hill hasn't even avg 10 and 5 and he's better ? i don't think so. Casspi is inconsistent, he's just a streaky jumpshooter who can run the floor. Not that important of a player yet. If sactown wants brooks, cousins or landry better be included.

Kings add first round pick 2011.

Brooks/Udrih
Evans/Martin
Greene/Casspi/Martin
Cousins/Hill/Patterson
Miller/Thompson

Lowry/Smith
Lee/Garcia
Battier/Bud
Scola/Landry
Dalembert/Scola/Hayes/Yao

Landry and KMartin experiments failed, time to move on and go back to the past.

What I'd be more concerned about is Courtney Lee in the starting line up...

We traded Greene and a future !st rounder for Artest. That draft pick was used to take Casspi in the following draft.
