A question from a Bulls fan

Hey guys, I know your record isn't where you guys want it to be but your team seems to be stocked with very attractive assets. I was wondering if you guys think your management would be willing to part with any of your two guards for something on Chicago.

What would you want, if anything is even realistic, for Kevin Martin?

Terrence Williams?

Courntey Lee? One of my personal favorites.

Thanks in advance and good luck this year.

I'm sure that the Rockets are open to talk; but it really depends on what you consider "realistic."

It is true that injuries and some bad luck have taken a toll on our team this season; but the season is not beyond salvagable. The Rockets are not a team that will make "panic" moves; nor are they a team who is in a financial situation where they need to get under the tax or get out of long contracts of effective players.

Any trade Houston would make would be to significantly upgrade at one or more positions (especially if you're talking Martin or Lee). Therefore, expiring deals are not something that would be appealing to Houston.

Most of the Chicago based trade discussion seems to have James Johnson (?) as the primary piece the Bulls put forward (along with a highly protected future draft pick). The problem is - Houston already has some young bigs we are developing. Therefore that is not an attractive trade option.

If you really wanted Martin then the type of discussion would be along the lines of Noah and taking back bad contracts. If you're talking Lee then it's a dead end; because there's nothing the Bulls have that would be acceptable value to either side.

The Rockets are looking to improve their own team, not save money.

mr e nailed it. we're not good trading partners at all. the only players we really want is noah, rose, and deng. we dont wanna save cap room we wanna spend money.

Thanks guys. So two first rounders for Lee wouldn't cut it?

hell yes but we're talking realistic trades right? you can't give up 2 first rounders for lee. he's having his worst year in houston.

:o :o :o

Ok, Brother - you want to give me two first round picks (protection to be negotiated over a few beers) for Courtney Lee and I'll drive him to the airport myself.

Down here we'd probably see that as "overpaying;" but for the Bulls it would be an "all-in" deal. Lee, next to Rose, Noah and Boozeboy would be an outstanding fit. I would do that deal in a heartbeat - and not because I think that we're screwing the other team over. Lee is probably a better fit on the current Bulls team than he is down here. It would free up time to see what Terrance Williams could do, so that is a positive as well.

So...Courtney Lee for your 2011 and 2013 picks? Yeah, I'm on board. Just tell me what flight so I can get Courtney to the airport on time! :)

Those would be really late 1st round picks, even worse with this years draft

It's funny that my initial feeling about lee rings true right now. I'm not in the states right now, but i can see a few houston games in nba tv. And Lee still plays like a broke mans *insert*, but worst. He's shown no improvement. But just like some houston fans on real gm, houston coaching staff keeps playing him. Or we' just want to settle for 2nd best, and no for change.. The thing that kills me when i watch him play is, he'll over dribble , run out clock and or pass back to perimeter. *repeat*. He'll occasionally chuck a shot which may come in depending on his streak. He has no ability to create for others or make his own shot at times. T Will is leaps beyond his skill and bball IQ level. So there's no reason why we have to see Lee refuse to shoot and keep passing the ball to the back when hes on the court.

And for bulls fan. Yes give us taj gibson for Lee. Take him and some extra serving of mooncake.

It is hard to get a good take on Lee.
The above post makes me think the Lee sucks. But in my mind...I have always thought of him as a solid role player.

Lee is a role player with good defense
quick enough to stay in front of his man and great leaping ability
he can get off the ground really fast
average spot up shooter
he shoots better when he dribbles once or twice
don't let his average fool you
his shooting percentage is lower in the 4th quarter (i'm talking his free throw and layup)

i don't mind trading Lee for Gibson
i know we have lots of PF
but Gibson is 10x better shot blocker than all of them combined

Jordan Hill sucks without Brad Miller

What's up with you and Scorpion King both having an animated gif of Gina Carano as your avy?

We could potentially do that with Lee too. But yeah, Mr. E pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Do the Magic still want Lee back with J-Rich there?

If so, how about Courtney Lee for Ryan Anderson straight up?

He had 23 pts and 16 rebounds (9 offensive) Sunday night.
Granted it was against the Cavaliers but he could be Kevin Love-lite.
Yeah he's not a true center but he can hit threes like B.Miler and he seems stronger than Hill.

ryan anderson will not fit in this team
there is no one to draw double team to free him up
