About halfway through the fourth quarter of Houston's overtime win against the Grizzlies Saturday, Rick Adelman subbed for Aaron Brooks. No big deal, just a substitution, right?
Wrong. Brooks, apparently not liking the swap, walked straight past the Rocket bench and into the locker room. Not because he needed some treatment or was injured. Nope, he was just mad about the substitution.
As a result, the Rockets have suspended Brooks for a game, according to the Houston Chronicle. He'll be sitting out Monday's game against the Nuggets and did not travel with the team.
Adelman sucks i really hope we don't extend his contract... Bring back JVG at least we all got along.
Well what Brooks did was very immature, I just really really dislike Adelman, and his decisions.

how is this adelman's fault?
we know brooks is upset that he didn't get his extension
but scola and lowry didn't get it last year as well
they didn't quit on the team
hamilton involved in trade rumor and coach didn't play him at all
he's still show up sitting on the bench for every game
what brooks did is non professional
bring back jvg?
didn't people blame bonzi wells situation on jvg?

That sounds good. In reference to the OP, no way does a player walk off the court like that. Who does AB think he is, he's no star although he must think he is.
Try walking out of your job and see what happens.

I used to love this guy, but he's really showing us what kind of player he is. He needs to prove he can still play off the bench before he can start. This team has much better chemistry without him on the floor. It's time to trade him.

I haven't been a fan of Adelman this year either, but it really wasn't Adelman's fault. Martin and Lowry were playing better than him and Brooks played most of the 4th with Martin on the bench during the Utah game. Unlike Brooks, Martin handles adversity like a professional and he went in the game to hit the game winning 3 pt play. He had nothing negative to say after the game either.

if you can make it so we send Calderon in the same deal too so Brooks can start and we don't have to pay both of them nuts money then i see no problem with that.
You guys wouldnt do something like?:
Calderon + Alabi + MIA 2011 1st + TOR 2013 1st for Brooks + Jeffries

I loved watching Brooks grow from his rookie season to his breakout season last year. 20ppg 5apg wow. Its sucks to see him struggle this season specially when i had such high expectations. I think a trade is inevitable. I wish him the best.

I think the suspension is unfair. Brooks did what was needed for his team to win that game; Brooks did what Adelman didn't have the guts to do; Brooks took the horrific weak link out of the game so his team could win.
In all seriousness, though, Adelman puts his job on the line and gives Brooks big chunks of playing time at the cost of many Rockets wins, so Brooks throws it back in his last ally's face. Good god, Brooks is dumb.

do you have a job?
you have a contract
you are supposed to go to work
sitting on the bench when you are not playing is part of you job
unless you have an excuse, like injured
in his case, he's not
it's like he got pissed at work and he just walk out of the office
didn't tell his manager what is going on
so he is required to take pto off
in nba it's suspension
morey told brooks he will not get an extension
he will let the market to set the price
scola didn't get it
lowry didn't get it
battier didn't get it
yao didn't get it
lopez was pissed at his coach for taking him out in the 4th
he's just mad and still sit on the bench
he didn't walk straight to the locker room

by contract

Holy mackerel! What is people's love affair with Robin Lopez? The man plays 15 minutes a night, does nothing, and can't stay healthy.

What about Brooks and maybe Hill for Nene? I like Landry but unless we moved Scola we have no room for him, he would just be taking PP's minutes.

I agree with most of what you said.
Morey's said that they're interested in signing Yao to an extension (even with Yao's uncertain health), breaking team policy "because Yao is special." After that statement, Brooks probably thought he should be special, too! LOL. Well, reality check, Brooks, you ain't Yao.
Did Lee complain about reduced PT because Adelman gives Brooks undeserved minutes? Did Martin complain about not playing in the 4th because Adelman was trying to keep Brooks happy even though it was costing the team wins? No, they acted like pros. Brooks didn't. End of story.
Good luck with the rest of your career in Sac/Minny, Aaron. You'd be the perfect complement to baby DeMarcus.
