Terrence Williams

Post#1 » by AsijsLV » Tue Feb 8, 2011 3:33 pm

Hi, guys.

I'm Boston fan and I have two questions: why Terrence Williams is playing only 8.7 minutes per game? Is there any possibility that Rockets will trade him?

he's playing behind Kevin Martin and Courtney Lee and Aaron Brooks (sometime we go small with Aaron Brooks+Kyle Lowry in the backcourt)
not enough playing time

if your looking for a backup guard, houston isn't the place to look. the only asset we would be interested in really is perkins and boston is not going to part with him. If your looking for a small trade like Lee for a 1st rounder, its not going to happen because houston would rather keep pieces for bigger moves.

i like bradley. he's supposed to be a defender coming out of college (and i also like the fact he's a longhorn) but of course its hard to come by minutes with the celtics and with houston were pretty deep as well. Lee for Bradley is not going to happen, that's just a bad trade.

Were also packed with PF so we have no need for Harongody. Plus add that to the fact we already have 2 PF projects in Hill and Patterson.

I'm not interested in Erden. just because he's 6'11 doesn't make him right lol. remember andersen...

His proposals arent that bad. Lee for Bradley is negotiable once we trade AB.

not in the sense that he plays like andersen but the fact that he's not the defensive big were looking for.

if were looking to simply just dump off lee then yes, the trade would be possible.

Williams isnt playing because Adelman is in a contract year, hes playing to win and has no time to implement someone unfamiliar with the system or the other players. It's really that simple.

Damn I wish Adelmann would realize how much more effective the second unit would be with a distributor like T-Will. He's a playmaker and Brooks isn't.

Say Brooks was traded for a draft pick. Not saying I'm down for that but just hypothetically.

PG: Lowry, Williams, Smith
SG: Martin, Lee
C: Hayes, Miller, Hill
SF: Battier, Budinger
PF: Scola, Patterson, Jefferies

T-Will runs the second unit, while Lee defends the backup PG position.

Also with Battier not necessarily a lock to return next season. T-Will could easily become the starting SF next season. If he can manage to improve his 3 pt shot then this trade would really become high way robbery for Houston.

problem with T-Will is that he's a penetrator
in Adelman's Princeton offense he doesn't need one
his offense basically just throw the ball at the elbow to Hayes/Scola/Battier and we have the guards/wings running cut/backdoor/curl
hopefully caught the defense off guard and we get an easy basket
when it doesn't work
pass the ball back to PG and he will force to shoot a 3 before shot clock expired

I would love Bradley on this team.... Then again, I would like an All Longhorn team.
