In keeping with their personal styles, Brad Miller and Kevin Martin had different memories of their time playing with new Dallas forward Peja Stojakovic.

Martin recalled Stojakovic as a mentor; Miller thought of him as a neighbor to torment.

"Peja was my neighbor in Sac," Miller said. "I'd hit golf balls at his house. It was fun. We really enjoyed learning how to play the game together and had a lot of fun."

"Then, on game days, I'd stand outside my door, or hide behind a bush or something, and wait for him to walk out his door to head for the stadium. When he finally did, I'd start pelting him with paintballs, airsoft guns, .22's, or whatever else I could find at the time. Sometimes, I'd even find one of my rifles in the front yard and use that, but I was always careful to shoot just over his head. It was hilarious sometimes just how high he'd up jumping, though. Especially since Pej didn't have any more jumping ability than me. One time he even ran through his fence, it was great. (Oh, don't tell coach that his injury woes in Sacto were from digging small caliber slugs out of his back, he might try to get me traded and the hunting's just too good down here.)"
