Trade between Utah/New Jersey. Doubt we can get either one of these guys now.
http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/21 ... n_WilliamsThe Nets have acquired Deron Williams.
Devin Harris and Derrick Favors will be traded to the Jazz, along with two first round picks.
New Jersey will send Troy Murphy to Golden State, while the Warriors trade Dan Gadzuric to the Nets.
The Nets pursued Carmelo Anthony for months, but were ultimately unsuccessful as he preferred a trade to the Knicks. But the Nets were committed to acquiring a legitimate superstar and quickly were able to acquire Williams, who is eligible to be a free agent in 2012.
EDIT: G-D, I love the trade deadline.

Son of a bitch!! Rockets could have given them a better deal unless they really wanted good PG in return.

I'm sure Deron Williams can afford all the dental work he needs.

Brooks and hill + some picks? Damn. I didn't even know he was on the block. This smells like the TN titans school of thought.
On a better note. WTF is happening with the Magic? They had a solid team. Then gave up Lewis for broke down Arenas...now they want Z-bo? Bass is young works hard and richardson is like a foster child man. I like richardson and what he brings to a team, but I think there's prob something wrong with him in the locker room or something. He gets traded way too much for such a good player.

he's probably not on the market
jazz hear about new jersey is trying to trade harris and afraid d-will is going to walk in 2012
so they hurry and call new jersey offering d-will for harris and favors (since they were willing to trade him for melo)
2 really good players
i don't believe we can offer better deal
when was the last time we deal with utah?

Not enough for Deron. **** I was thinking Martin, Lowry, Hill, Twill and two first rounders for Deron, Fesenko. Sure that might be over paying but that is the best PG in the game. Also it gets rid of that over depth problem we have and give Patterson some more playing time

Jazz also got the Nets pick this year, and the GSW pick next year. I dont believe either are protected... Now way we could match that.

imo that's too much
nets owner is really desperate

think about future
don't try to win a few more games to save your job and ruin the franchise

You just can't sit back and play it safe. You have to swing for the fences and if it does not work out then it does not work out. The Rockets have been playing it safe for 3 years now and are now just a low Lotto pick or a bottom seed in the playoffs. I personally think it would have specially with him being from Texas and well Houston is the best city in Texas. Williams and C Lee would be bad ass together and Scola/Patterson and Willaims could run the best Pick n Roll in the game.

when was the last time we deal with utah?
they wont deal with western team
they are still trying to make the playoff
are you willing to give up 2 lottery picks + former all-star + young prospect for d-will?
to get something close
our 2011 pick - which isn't better than new jersey 2011 pick
golden state 2012 pick, don't think our nor new york 2012 pick is better
harris probably can compare to martin
young prospect? favors > patterson/hill/t-will
so how are you going to beat it?
martin+brooks+patterson+2011 pick+2011 our or ny pick?
last time we gamble we end up with hakeem+barkley+pippen and bunches of cba players

Also Getting Williams would give a chance to get anoter dominate player like Howard. See all these players are now joining forces to create a super team. You could very well need on superstar to get the other superstar

He doesn't play for the Jazz anymore. We can admit he's a superstar.
