Can you feel Thabeet?
So how was he tonight guys? DId he loook like he got potential? Or is he more inconsistent than Jordan Hill with no offense? I don't even mind if he develops into a shawn bradley or manute bol at this point..just hopefully he has potential to develop

2 fouls in 2 minutes in garbage time, he's on his way to get the **** out of the nba lol nah. i'm ok if he becomes a 5/5/1blk player, good for a backup, that's the most i expect out of him.

Even tho he was in for only 2 min, but somehow whenever I watch him he look clumsy and kinda lost out there.

In this league, you don't get enough credit for defense. It will take Thabeet couple years to learn to stay out of foul trouble and understand what guys like Yao and Howard had to go through.
Yeah, he's a walking project with very raw talent. We shouldn't expect too much from him at this point.

Give him one summer with the coaches here before making judgement. I'm sure he got good coaching in Memphis but every player responds differently to different staff. He should have bulked up over the past 2 seasons though which shows me he probably doesn't hit it hard enough in the offseason. If he makes the same improvement as Jordan hill over the offseason, then i'll be ready to give up on him.

7'3, long, mobile ... that's thabeet's upside. in his short stint in the NBDL he averaged 14/11/3.2 ... the nba is obviously a different monster but the point is the potential is there. the rest is really up to him. he has a lot of work to do and that's an understatement. we need great teachers to coach thabeet and model him into a solid center. it's exciting to think what player this guy can turn into. but unless he is dedicated and motivated, he'll just be another bust...

Honestly, I hope it all comes together for Hasheem. He's a nice guy. Wholly and utterly clueless with 0 BBIQ, but a darned good shopper. Bottom line is he's more Carrie Bradshaw than Mutombo.

Do you really need that much bball iq if ur as agile and tall as him? All he needs is jst stand around the key and he'll prevent guards to drive to the rim and he is apparently a good shot stopper/blocker. But on offense he sucks..oh well. If he can turn into another Dikembe or Shawn bradley i'll be happy with that

Yes, you do. Low BBIQ would be fine, but we're talking ZERO. Thabeet got by and excelled in college by camping the lane and dominating lugs. He would regularly get his lunch handed to him by smaller, stronger opponents, like Dejuan Blair. He just doesn't get NBA spacing and the speed of the game at this level is just too much for him to cope with at this point. IF he were motivated to work on his game, he has the tools to be an above average backup/adequate starter for some schemes. Unfortunately, the Grizz never saw the effort/desire.

My sentiments exactly. That was why I thought he was way too highly touted coming out of school. He got owned by DeJuan Blair every time they played. I just hope Hakeem and/or Dikembe can do something with him.

Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

How smart do you have to be to clog the lane, block shot and rebound?

well regardless of, if you want to call it IQ or skill it does take one or the other or both. because if that wasn't the case, the nba wouldn't be so lacking in star centers.
