Rockets reach deal with Marqus Blakely

The Rockets reached agreement with Marqus Blakely, a 6-5 forward with the Iowa Energy of the NBA Development League, on a three-year, non-guaranteed contract, a person with knowledge of the decision said.
Blakely, who averaged 15 points on 62.5 percent shooting and 6.3 rebounds in the D-League this season with Iowa and Bakersfield, will join the Rockets in Minneapolis for the season's last game. He will replace Mike Harris, whose second 10-day contract has expired, on the Rockets roster.
Like Harris, Blakely is working to convert from a power forward game to being more of a small forward.

Never heard of a Marqus with a Q. Does that mean Mike "Mercenary" Harris is going back to China?

Like Cousin, the chances that he'll be on the roster when the season starts are slim, but he looks pretty solid from what I've seen.
I like his hair, too.

I know him and his game real well. One of the sickest dunkers you'll ever see. Short but huge wingspan, and plays much bigger. Nice post moves. Not much of a shooter or ball handler. Real smart player to go along with unreal athleticism.

recall our 4th center and sign 5th center and sign a SF when we need a PG

only one more game. lee is 6'5 200 that's quick enough to do something for pg. the system makes it's own shots anyway.
anyone else think he hates twill a lil too much? signing all these forwards when we have twill on the bench. i havent read his twitter so ima do that right now

There's one game left and we're playing for nothing but pride, so it really doesn't matter.
We could have signed 10 centers for all I care. There'll be more than enough time to sign an undrafted PG in the off-season.

This just seems like an oddly timed deal. A 3-yr deal at the end of the season while the league is facing a lockout?

it's next seasons championship piece
. this time morey signed his offseason championship piece earlier cuz of the lockout. we dont want the lakers getting this guy, that would be a disaster.
