NBA Playoffs

Post#1 » by zapatasblood » Fri Apr 15, 2011 4:28 pm

Who will win it all?

What teams will make it past the first round?

What team will be upset?

Of the first round what series is most intriguing?

ROCKETS 2010-2011 CHAMPS WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, isnt that right morey? after adding the magnificent championship piece, BRAD MILLER, we became automatic NBA CHAMPS BABY YEAHHHHH. they shoulda gave us the title when we signed miller, but NOOOOOOOOOOO, the regular season had to expose us and our championship player. it's all a conspiracy.

wha what defense? DEFENSE? who needs defense when you have KEVIN MARTIN! he doenst even need to play the game to score, just the free throw line aka kevin martin line. defense isn't necessary when you have this talent making beautiful free throws every game.

Rooting for Shane or Carl to get a ring but really anyone but LeBron.

1st round West

San Antonio 4 Memphis 2

Los Angeles 4 New Orleans 0

Dallas 3 Portland 4

OKC 4 Denver 2

1st Round East

Chicago 4 Indiana 0

Miami 4 Philadelphia 1

Boston 4 New York 1

Orlando 4 Atlanta 0 (even though atl won the season series 3-1 i think)

i think the bulls are too young. my gut tells me celtics will take it all the way but they played like sh!!t at the end of the season and they traded perkins away. then there's miami but miami has holes in every other position outside their big 3. Orlando maybe a sleeper. Dwight Howard will impact the games, the difference between them winning and losing is if the guys around him can knock down jump shots. east looks like its up for grab

i really want the lakers to lose. spurs are shady. i would trust them to win but their defense is not what it used to be. duncan has to step it up for them to have a chance. dallas is going to choke it away like they do every season. OKC might be the sleeper. since adding kendrick perkins, he has anchored their defense and they are able to stop teams. perkins is a very underrated center because he doesn't put up any glaring numbers but his defensive presence changes the culture of the team. lakers look like the favorites coming out of the west

I'm still bitter about the Rockets missing the playoffs. I hope the season doesn't get worse with two of my least favorite teams in the finals. I know Stern and most fans would rather have it no other way. :-?

I see potential upset in the Blazers - Mavs series. Who's with me?

Still time to get your bracket in!

First Round
Bulls over Pacers in 4
Heat over Sixers in 5
Celtics over Knicks in 6
Magic over Hawks in 6

Spurs over Grizzlies in 7
Lakers over Hornets in 5
Blazers over Mavs in 6
OKC over Nuggets in 6

Second Round
Magic over Bulls in 7
Heat over Celtics in 6

Thunder over Spurs in 6
Lakers over Blazers in 7

Conference Finals
Heat over Magic in 6
Thunder over Lakers in 6

Finals
Heat over Thunder in 6

I really wanted to pick the Grizzlies over the Spurs, but even with Ginobili being doubtful for this first game, I just can't see Pop letting them loose this series.
Randolph will get double-teamed anytime he touches the ball and the Grizzlies ultimately won't have enough shooting to make the Spurs pay.

the first 2 games are actually entertaining. pacers lead the bulls until the last 2 minutes, and sixers have been leading the heat.

Ya. The playoffs have been pretty awesome so far.

I wish the Pacers would have been able to pull out the win. Other than Thibodeau, I can't stand the Bulls. They're the Jazz-East.

Oh well.

How can you not like Derrick Rose? You gotta love a humble super star.

It's funny because during opening day I said I was enjoying the Chi-OKC game so much that I wanted to see them in a playoff series. But then I thought to myself, that would only happen in a Finals series, so it basically would never happen. Little did I know how realistic it could actually be.

I think Rose has become grossly overrated and I never liked him much to begin with.

I don't like his so called 'humbleness'. I don't like his game and the amount of media love he gets kinda forces me to root against him.

I don't like rooting for the guy everybody's in love with.

I also don't like his face.

:x

It's not just Rose though. Boozer, Noah, Korver, Brewer, etc. I don't like any of those guys.

Just my opinion though.

Should we root for the Grizz? I think they'll have more reason to match offers for Marc Gasol if they were to go far in the POs. On the other hand Batman deserves a ring, and I do like cheering for the underdogs

I surely will root for them.

Even with that Randolph extension I would think that it would take a ridiculous offer for the Grizzlies not to match Gasol, no matter how the playoffs will turn to play out.
