Brad Miller had microfracture sugery - out til January

Brad Miller at Kings event in Sacto on crutches, says he had microfracture surgery two weeks ago.
Miller expects to be back in January. Says he has no concerns about explosiveness.

bad contracts happen to every team. he makes 5 per year for only 2 more years, not a huge problem. he prolly wont be as useful w/o adelman's system.
let me remind you morey lovers than he thought brad miller was the "final championship piece". google it

Miller's last year is only 848k guaranteed, so he's pretty much an expiring.

i was on the morey bandwagon at that time, but as you can see i still wasnt sure about contending for a title.
i read about him saying "miller is our last championship piece" (dont remember the exact words) on clutchfans. i think it was someone posting a radio interview recap.
the season before when we kept blowing away leads, morey said in a radio interview something like "we need to finish the half with bigger leads so we wont have to deal with our collapses". if u wanna dig it up go ahead, maybe he was talking out of his ass or just pissed about losing so many big leads, but that is not the way to play basketball, especailly in the nba. u cant ask your team to start the 2nd half with a 30-40 pt lead every game.

Haha. It's all good.
Look what I wrote a little more than a month ago:
The Mavs are pretenders, not contenders. They're good, but not quite good enough. They have no shot beating the Lakers, Thunder or Heat. None.
Similar to the Magic most of their players are past their prime and a bunch of them are overpaid. From here on out it'll only go downhill for the Mavs

i hope mavs fans dont know about what you said.
i still think the mavs only chance to beat the heat lies with a healthy beoboi and butler. i thought that was their only chance to beat the lakers.
but they wont beat the heat. doing a good job on bosh tho, he's like 10/40. too bad they got james and wade

I was going to ask if Houston would be interested in Glen Davis for one of Thabeet, Hill or Miller, but now I will ask if Houston would be interested in Davis for Thabeet or Hill.

Small update from Jonathan Feigen:
Miller said he plans to return. His microfracture surgery was to a non weight bearing part of the knee and was in just a very small area. Unlike most microfracture patients, the Rockets believe he will actually return more mobile than before the surgery.
