Pick the three Rockets most likely to be moved

Post#1 » by Mr. E » Sat Jun 25, 2011 7:02 pm

Here are the guys on the roster right now. I'm not including Yao or Chuck, even tho I think that both are still with the team next season.

PG: Kyle Lowry / Goran Dragic / Johnny Flynn
SG: Kevin Martin / Courtney Lee / Terrence Williams
SF: Chase Budinger / Marcus Morris (going to go ahead and put him here) / Chandler Parsons
PF: Luis Scola / Patrick Patterson / Jordan Hill / Donatus Montiejunas
C: Hasheem Thabeet

Of those 14 guys, pick the 3 most likely to be moved this offseason (whenever it may end).

I'm going with Scola, Budinger & Flynn

Damn, I just came here to write in length about it. :)

I still think Hill is the most likely to be moved.

I think of the sea of PF we have accumulated, HIll is the most capable of spending minutes at C. Wouldn't be surprised if Morey keep him at backup provided he bulk up a little bit.

Yeah, I guess there's something to that.

I still expect Chuck to be re-signed though.

Dont count on it.

After Coach Mchale was introduced, has he even mentioned Chuck hayes in passing? Nope.

He's always talking about the importance of length. Chuck is not coming back.

Lee, OR T Will , Thabust, Hill.

Patrick Patterson shown that he was a better consistent player than Hill last season. Has better Bball IQ too. so Hill is expendable. Scola, as bad defense as he has, he plays great as a team, and one of the most skillful PF's in the nba (in scoring) Nuff said. So even at his age , he won't be tradeable for a superstar that we need. So we might as well keep him.

Lee Or Twill- Both of these players are fairly inconsistent, streaky shooters. Both have strengths and weaknesses that are clear, but pretty much similarly athletic built and kind of similar in their inability to pass the ball consistently. Both are fairly effective at certain aspects of their games too. But none complement eachother. So one of them has to go. Budinger won't go, Mchale loves white athletic players, he will try to make him a star. And Bud has a nice shooting form. Although i think he's reached near to his ceiling

Thabust..What can this beanpole do except stand tall and look like an idiot? Used to have high hopes for him, but now, he's in the "prove me wrong" category.

I think we keep Scola for the sake of Motiejunas

I'd go with flynn hill and bud. If Pat steps up Scola is the most likely to be moved because we can get the most for him. What I really hope happens is that Pat and Morris both play well. A package of scola, bud, + filler/picks is a lot more attractive then anything with hill/flynn/etc. All these bs packages with hill, and other bench players involved aren't going to land us anyone better than the current players we have on our roster.

What would it take to get Thabeet, Hill, and Budinger? Just 3 guys I would like to see in Atlanta that are reasonable..

If they don't resign Chuck Hayes, I'm going to put up a "Fire McHale" sig.

1. Hill
2. Budinger
3. Lee

I don't think Scola will be trade this year. I like what I see from Patterson, but he isn't ready to fill Scola's shoes. I won't be against trading him, if we can get a quality all-star in return.

I think Thabeet and Flynn are likely to stay. Morey loves to have a 3rd PG, and Thabeet deserves more time.

Al Horford for sure....we don't want a dumb ball IQ guy like Josh.

The players I'd like to be moved:

1, Flynn
2, Flynn

3, Hill

The players most likely will be moved:

1, Scola
2, Lee
3, Budinger

Of course Hill and Flynn could slip in as fillers.
