OT: Fantasy Football 2011 Sign-up

Hey guys,

It's time for some fantasy football. I've been very busy with school and was unable to set up our league. Thankfully, we have TMVP as commish and we're able to keep this league going. Invitations have been sent out to those who participated last year, but we'll have to recruit new managers if we don't hear back from them by this weekend. If you're interested please sign up here.

You should be happy. I was gonna kill y'all this year. Last year was my first time doing fantasy football, so I made a few early season mistakes, but now that I'm a vet.... :starwars

Re: TMU, didn't realize how to actually do that till I checked the Commissioner Tools a couple hours ago. I expanded the limit which has allowed a few more to join. Would you suggest still canceling them, even though I believe we have 6 more spaces still, with 8 teams? They could still join if they saw it just now right? I'm not completely sure how it works, b/c some of the managers that haven't signed up have been few of the more active guys, Vator, Fresh, Bruce, Fobbie, thetennisyao, etc. So I wouldn't want to lose them if they were still down to play - though they likely would have seen it by now.

@CollegeBoy, that would definitely be fun haha, but not sure if it'd really work (especially as towards creating brackets where Rocket fans would face them?)

And as for the draft time, it's currently set to Sunday Sep 4th at 10:00 PM EST. That's just a random date I picked out, whenever is best for majority should be the date the draft should be on.

Well let's say you have 12 managers, just separate the league into two divisions. Six Houston managers in the Rockets division and six Dallas managers in the Mavs division. You would all end up playing everybody, much like the NBA. Other than the league champion, comparing inter-divisional records would let you know who's board won. You could probably set one up against the Utah board too (or any other board for that matter, but preferably one with some bad blood).

The fact that there may be no fantasy basketball this year is making me a sad panda.

My general football knowledge is so extremely limited that if i participate in this league, i'll just be wasting a spot.

Let me know when fantasy basketball is back.
