Oscar Torres?

Does anyone know why he only played one season with the Rockets? I'm watching him on Venezuela now and he looks like he could have an impact on an NBA team as a spot up shooter. His form is probably the most textbook form I've ever seen out of a professional basketball player and he seems to have NBA size and athleticism. Was he that good of a shooter when he was on the Rockets? He's 34 years old now so I'm guessing that his NBA days are over, but I don't get why he only spent 1 season in the NBA.

He was picked up as a favor to Steve Francis. He was a decent shooter, but nothing special by NBA standards.
