Which Rockets will surprise this year?

Post#1 » by jazzfan1971 » Wed Nov 9, 2011 9:25 pm

Assuming a season of course.

Who do you see stepping up? Who might be stepping down? Anyone look to be ready to bust out?
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

It all depends on what it has depended on the last few seasons.. If we can get a big man.

I see Terrance Williams stepping up along with our rookie Ma. Morris, while Chase takes a step back(traded).

I'm assuming this is a fantasy BBall question?

Kyle Lowry will go up. For sure. I'm expecting 15-16ppg/ about 7-8apg/4rpg/1spg and for him to truly cement himself as the leader of this team.

Patrick Patterson should go up. If he play consistent minute i expect good thing from this young man.

Kevin Martin and Scola will both probably take a slight hit # wise. Scola because he is getting older and will lose some minutes to Patterson. Martin is the one thats going to miss Adelman the most. But i still expect 20+ point on high efficiency from him.

Everybody else like Dragic, Lee, Budinger... i dont expect any significant change to their role.

THe only question mark is our Center position and Terrence Williams. If we don't acquire another center this free agency, i expect Jordan Hill to get the bulk of the minutes.(provided we don't resign Chuck Hayes)

Hasheem Thabeet only played 2 minutes for us last year so i have nothing on him. Maybe he will surprise who knows.

Maybe i'm just an eternal pessimist. But i dont have high hopes for either Terrence Williams or Thabeet. Out of those 2, i like Thabeet's chance better. But i suspect thats because i haven't seen him play enough yet.

Terrence Williams needs to step it up big time. I'll go with him.
